If you like go, you'll like this. If you don't like go, this game will probably not change your mind, which is fine.

TLDR
If you want to learn Go this is an absolutely amazing software to help you out and ease you in.
Its campaign and tools are all tailored towards teaching and improving your Go play - while also looking and sounding great.
Easy analysis, lots of nicely tuned AI options, SGF support for matches and Puzzles; the list goes on.
Campaign
The campaign is a great starting point.
Earning resources via wins and trading allows you to "buy" special skills like "undo", "territory", "move variants", and "suggested move" mid combat.
Those skills are absolutely amazing when starting out. Basing them on resources ensures that one doesn't overuse them.
After finishing a match the game will run an automatic analysis pointing out the 3 biggest blunders in a little "mini-game" including move variations.
In the end the game will suggest adjustments to the AI and handicap that one can accept or deny.
Once you conquered a piece of land, you can can reinforce and protect it against invasions by doing Puzzles.
Also available after a win is the option to purchase professional tournament game records for resources.
From time to time you can even see an invasion of your or AI territory and join in on the action.
If you don't want to play against AI, you can also fight actual humans via OGS (online-go.com).
Another option is to exchange resources for AI help, which turns this effectively into Pair Go with you and the AI taking turns.
Story
A recent addition. Allows to add your own campaigns with characters, dialogue, and battle content (such as invasions, puzzles, and more).
Quick Play
Three options are available here:
- Play against AI
- Practice Board (freely placing stones)
- Game Review
Available board sizes range from 5x5 to 19x19.
Online Play
This allows you to play games on OGS (online-go.com) using CoG's interface and background music.
Learning Center
Contains a tutorial for Go, a visual glossary, and an opening guide (allowing exploration of typical openings).
The big feature here is the steam workshop integration and its available Puzzles and game records.
This can also be used to upload your own Puzzles collections for example.
In general, the steam workshop integration is absolutely amazingly done and adding content is very simple.
