Need for Speed Payback delivers fun arcade racing with a decent open world, but it’s held back by a predictable story and an overreliance on grindy progression. The car customization is solid, and the heist-style missions add excitement, but the loot box-style upgrade system feels frustrating. It’s an enjoyable ride, but not the best in the series.

starts off playing on its own, no optimized graphics or v sync, reaches gpu to 100% going for max frames possible. once you manage to get to the menu an optimize it, you get a steady 60 fps with v sync. until you dont cause it drops to 0 and then 60 and then crashes. recognized the controller only after i plugged it in and out during gameplay. refunded asap. i wanna play a game, no struggle with poor ports

Very good game, the graphics are really realistic and the car customization is ON ANOTHER LEVEL!!!!! Also like the story, but i wish it had more character development i know it's a racing game but still I feel like it would have been way more interesting and meaningful if it would have had better character development. I love the variety of the cars too there are many types of cars and i love the car classes like (offroad, driftin, etc). I also find that the upgrade system of the cars is really really good. And the most interesting aspect of the game for me are the relics , it was very fun to search the parts in your favourite car and just have a good time and listen to some music.

Great racing, it's played perfectly, the graphics are also excellent, it goes smoothly, it doesn't crash or hang. Only the EA launcher gets boring, so it won't start without the Internet.

bad story, awful progression system, overall a very boring experience, just pick any Forza Horizon game over this and you'll have much more fun

Very enjoyable game, better than Heat imo. Whoever got the idea to do sprint race with a drag race car needs to be fired. Customization is OK. Not a lot of body kits. Get it on sale.

(Dont take in consideration the time, i already played this game on console and i finished it, i only got it on steam so i can mess around in it more, plus it goes for cheap so why not) even tough its a pretty old game, and its fun and stuff i just have to give it a thumbs down, why? Because its not optimized well and my pc overheats when i run it, it doesnt happen with unbound, and it heated so much it melted the dust cover (wich is made of metal) it didnt melt as if it turned liquid, it just softened up and changed it shape a little because of the constant heat blowing into it, even with my fans to the max it still doesnt change much, please optimize it better. here are my pc specs so you wont say its overheating because its a potato: Rtx 3060, ryzen 5 5600x, 1tb ssd samsung, 700w, 32gb corsair ram ddr4

An amazing title that takes me back to that fast and furious type of vibe which I feel like belongs in the Need for Speed franchise. Game is amazing so far story wise and gameplay. Drifting in this game is the best hit of dopamine I get all day and characters are tolerable throughout the duration of the story. Grinding is not to bad because tracks are creative and cars customizability is decently good. Police in the game are very fun to go up against and the crashouts of cop cars have a little cutscene that comes with it with is a nice touch, crashing yourself feels very realstic do to the impact physics this game has. Gameplay feels amazing to start with, Driving on the road feels sturdy and the vehicle feels very grounded and steady. Dirt roads feel satisfying due to how driftable the dirt can be. Overall I give this game a 9 out of 10 if you looking to kick back and have fun driving in Vegas.
