Game was fine before they released that "broken road" dlc update which led to numerous bugs and problems. More like "broken game" update. Now they keep patching/updating the game to fix these problems with 20-30 gb size patches which barely do anything. They have done this 3-4 x already. Not everyone has the time or internet speed to download these huge updates that does nothing. What the heck am I even downloading, malware? 20-30 gb update just for some minor fixes, seriously?

The first half of the game was some of the best gameplay and writing I have experienced in a while. The second half, however, is the reason I can't recommend this game. As though clockwork, once you reach the chapter with the
Military
(about 60-70%) into the game, everything starts to fall apart. The writing downgrades before your eyes and the bugs pop out of every corner like a horde waiting for you to save to mess you up as much as possible. It has soured what would've otherwise been a top 5 game for me. If you can get past some game breaking bugs such as models not loading and breaking everything until you try 6 different things only for it to magically fix itself, and if you can get past the writing suddenly punching you in the gut after giving you the best time ever right before, then go for it. The game was great before that. After, meh. Good luck, if you dare to try. Hopefully by the time you play, all the bugs are fixed.

The narrative in this game is just not gripping at all. There's really not a lot on offer in the story that hasn't already been done better by other titles in this genre, and the first 30 minutes of the game are essentially choppy cut scenes with 0 explanation as to who you are, or what you're doing, or why you should care. An extremely weak and nonsensical "hook" sets up the entire story line, so the foundation for a gripping experience is just not there. The voice acting (specifically the tonality of it) is jarring, with characters whispering to one another despite being separated by dozens of meters when outdoors but screaming at the top of their lungs while standing next to each other indoors. The voice actors regularly skip words, ignore natural pauses in their line delivery, and talk as if they are reading a list of run-on sentences. I have a feeling that the voice actors had no idea what the actual context of their lines were. I couldn't get invested in this one -- put it down after a few tries.

Y'know this may end up being pretty good a few hours in. I'll never know though, the first impressions given by this game are truly awful, some of the worst in medias res story telling and on boarding I think I've seen from a modern game, I have no idea where I am or what I'm doing as random names, places, and concepts are thrown at me by an unlikable protagonist who never shuts the fuck up. And c'mon guys, do we really need a cut scene every 4-5 minutes of gameplay? Can I have some freedom in this open world game? I realise this is barely an hour in but I can use deductive reasoning to figure out that the rest of the game is unlikely to pan out much better.

Love this game it is one of the few games I can replay multiple times over and over and still enjoy it as much as the first play-through I'd highly recommend this game one of my all time favorites.

Good game, worth the money. Riding in a post apocalyptic wasteland on your extremely impractical and gas guzzling bike is 10/10 fun.

I didn’t really have Days Gone on my radar, but now I’m genuinely impressed. The open world is atmospheric and varied, riding the bike feels great, and the story around Deacon really got me hooked. It’s just a solid open-world game with zombies and plenty of tension. Only downside: I had a few bugs on PC where some objects turned invisible, but restarting the game fixed it. Overall: Highly recommended.

spent this for 30 bucks just to mod it. money well spent anyway. if you want my honest review about this game. this game is really nice. but be aware that this game is pretty much lengthy. basically similar like GTA but open world single player survival and tons of missions to do. side missions can be very a little bit dull sometimes but its worth of money if you love single player open world survival game.

The main character is a motorcycle gang member and current bounty hunter, Deacon St. John. The protagonist is a hero who has lost the love of his life and a hero to the heroes of his world. The main theme is survival, not searching for a solution to the original and saving the world. In presenting his story, he often delves into the past – initially, a hero appeared who decimated the hero – unfortunately to no avail. ✅ Great, well-thought-out gameplay with a really long storyline and many twists and turns that can surprise us. It took me about 58 hours to complete all the storylines (and I tested the DLC for 2 hours) ✅More than a dozen storylines, which is a huge plus: main missions, side missions, zombie hordes (as many as 40), raider camps, marauders, destroying Freaker nests, and many other storylines (it's worth doing a little of everything, as you can unlock better weapons or grenades in return). ✅The game can be played on a gamepad or keyboard (the developers recommend using a gamepad, but I finished the game on a keyboard). ✅ A cool shooting system, and headshots are fun, especially when focused, but it also allows you to see important items thanks to this skill. ✅The melee and knife combat modes are also very good. ✅In the later stages of the game we can also encounter other zombies ✅On the way we can meet many markers on the map which can lead us to saving people or we can come across the trail of wild animals (bear) ✅The game's sound is great. ✅The graphics look phenomenal on high settings. ✅The atmosphere is also great. Epic ✅The price is adequate to what we get in the game. ✅Historical, herbal, and character collectibles. ✅Skill window: as the character progresses, we can unlock new skills (there are 45 of them, so our hero can reach a maximum level of 45). ✅If we don't want to waste time exploring the same route, we can use fast travel to camps and other locations, not only if we've completed side missions. ✅Superbly recreated facial expressions and emotions. ✅A huge open world, and the game really keeps you entertained. ✅Weather conditions and the time of day really affect the gameplay (this is clearly visible when riding a motorcycle; it's harder to ride). ✅The motorcycle riding model, and the fact that if we want to upgrade it, to avoid running out of fuel or to make it faster, we are "forced" to do side missions and gain trust (maximum level 3) to get better upgrades. ✅Great voice acting (for Polish players) ✅Secret ending if we complete the required storyline. Storyline ✅You can choose the difficulty level you want. ✅Additionally, DLC is available for purchase, giving you several challenges like the Horde Assault, Permanent Death Mode, and Photo Mode, meaning you can adjust the game's angle, etc. ❌Long loading screens. ❌Limits on inventory items (medical kits, grenades), as well as crafting items. ❌There should be an option to purchase grenades (after unlocking various grenades in the story) with in-game currency (credits). ❌A few bugs (I had situations where the enemy was halfway across the ground :D) If you have any questions about my reviews, feel free to ask. Im happy to answer them. All reviews are my own!! Best regards, King Viking Bezimienny, Polish Game Reviewer.
