The queen of unoptimization and singularity, servers are region locked you cant play with ur Asian friend and its not cross play so u cant play with your xboxi friend neither there’s no story just an intro and 90 races that you must repeat to progress at all
No pedestrians no lively streets just Roblox buildings and lights that dont even wanna run on 30 fps on RTX3060 (all performance modes on low settings)

absolute trash on the PC, you can't configure the controls properly, it still uses console icons, you can't seem to select manual shift, its the worse TDU i have ever played. needs a complete re-work and mega patch to work.

Just a complete and total disgrace to the franchise. The creators should be ashamed of themselves

There is alot of issues that make this game a disappointment in the TDU format but the biggest issue i have with this game is the lack of a Restart button. This is 100% because it is online slop, but if i am the only player in the race why cant i restart the race. Also i have no want to race randoms in this game and just want to play a racing game.
The way around this is to Abandon race and the start it again, but this resets your race setup and you need to go through 2 screens just to reset.

Easily the biggest disappointment all around from the previous games stand point. The TDU fans were very clear on what they wanted out of this game from the moment they announced this. Sadly, this cannot even hold a candle to the original TDU.
The developers refused to listen to its customer base and continue to ignore them with its “season passes.” TDU origins were a laid back approach to racing and lifestyle. This I believe is where it gets its charm. TDU SC absolutely removes this and treats it like any other game, just with blinkers and sunroof buttons.
Having a futuristic world design but modern and late model cars removes the immersion and realism I expect from a TDU game.
This doesn’t even include the horrible server stability at start and the inability to fulfill promises. I believe the developers saw a cash grab and did not care about the decades of love this franchise had with its customers.
Cannot recommend this game, even with patches and fixes. The core of its gameplay is flawed from a legacy title player

Being as positive possible. The map is ok but small where TDU2 was groundbreaking with the map size at the time. The driving physics are arcade-y but fine - just like TDU2. I don't completely hate these 2 things.
But apart from adding on top of that. They took away the enjoyable and captivating progress with houses and cars through licenses in some sort of journey. And make it a Forza Horizon like car collecting sim, with weird unnatural level based progress. A completely useless and annoying car upgrade system. Some multiplayer rivalry system not a simple player cares about. And to top it all of they slapped a way too grindy battle pass on it.
You had the perfect blueprint of what the players wanted. But chose to ignore all of it and decided to go into the direction of "how can we fit a battle pass into a TDU game, and make it the games entire personality." The reviews reflect the failure of listening to the community, which seems to be difficult these days for many companies. At this point just remaster TDU2, don't touch any of it, and be done with it. We'd actually enjoy that.

Don't waste your money on this. It's an online-only, forced multiplayer racing, underdelivered game and the devs don't seem to be addressing its issues.

objectively, hong kong island is an awesome map. they did a pretty good job replicating the landmarks and the geography. I *really* wanted to like this game, but with the nonsensical physics and the questionable NPC cars and the rubberbanding rival AIs and the lackluster progression I just couldn't.
I paid for a promise of a TDU game. still waiting...

Absolute insult. It's a shame to say because the game has potential, but the devs really screwed over a lot of people and then slapped us all in the face with their "compensation"
People that paid extra to access the game early found dead servers that made the game completely unplayable. I couldn't even log in the entire early access time period. So I paid extra money and got absolutely nothing for it.
The compensation they offered to make up for taking our money for nothing was just insulting. They gave us a free upgraded car (not even an exclusive car) and a handful of in game stickers. Thanks for the money we screwed you out of.....here's some digital stickers.
I don't care if they eliminate every bug and make the game work. I'm done after that insult. I couldn't even get a refund on the game because I spent more than 2 hours just trying to log in.
This dev lost my business forever.
