it has a potential to be the best sw game, but ea is ea sadly

Its really sad honestly. I grew up playing the OG battlefront 1 and 2 with my brothers on ps2. I had about 300 hours on this game on console due to playing since early release. purchased again on steam because of the nostalgia i had for it. The only redeeming quality about this game is that it is Star Wars. Other than that stand alone fact this game has fallen short compared to what the potential could have been. Even the devs gave up on it. I miss the good old days.

While the graphics are amazing and the mechanics feel great, the story is lacking. The idea for the story is great but the execution was mediocre. Without spoiling it too much, I feel that many of the plot points weren't given enough time or care to develop so big changes in the characters feel rushed and don't quite make sense. While the pacing keeps me interested I also don't feel connected to the characters. One thing I dislike in campaigns in general is the feeling of doing missions just to have something to shoot at and a lot of this game feels like that. Every mission feels almost pointless and only serves to allow me to keep shooting. I haven't played much multiplayer as its basically dead but I'm sure it's a ton of fun. If you can get it for cheap I recommend it, otherwise its not worth the price, especially since multiplayer is essentially dead.

Hackers everywhere. Only about 2% of Galactic Assaults can be completed the other 98% of the time you'll be put into spectator mode floating around the map with no way to spawn, or you'll spawn with the entire server in a single location at the same time. Only purchase if you want to do campaign or private co-op.

its a great game unlocks and upgrades are numerous... bad thing you have to run both ea app and steam. which is like 16 processes. this causes me problems in twitch streaming and controller use. sometimes the controller just stops working and i have to quit and come back. if you have 4 friends playing in co op it drops you back to main menu. im not sure why ea and steam both have to be run. whoever at ea made that decision they should be fired. you cannot stop ea app or steam while playing it shuts off the game. this will be the last ea i ever buy you know steam has 7 or 8 process now ea has 8 jsut to play a game. on ps4 there are no issues. and on pc its a cheatfest. sad.

Great graphics and gameplay. Wish there were a supremacy mode without heroes.

bought game for the cost of a snicker's bar on sale. load it up. 1st match. it's pretty fun. feels good. lasers go joob joob. 2nd match, cheater wrecking whole team. 3rd match, cheater is on my team. easy win. angry unwashed gamers squealing in chat 4th match, spawn gets locked for everyone and ads for a youtuber started streaming into the chat. can't leave the game. alt F4 5th match, different server, SPAWNS ALSO LOCKED FOR EVERYONE, ADS FOR SAME YOUTUBER IN CHAT. more gamers screaming about another cheater alt f4, uninstall, refund 10/10 dumpster fire of a game. still had fun.

Super depressing that this game got dropped right when they made it into the best SW game ever made. If more people were playing this, it could be the most successful EA property ever. But here we are.

in the matches i've played its a ton of fun. its a shame that this and every other battlefront game are basically dead, i just want to play a friggin SW themed war game like this one consistently
