There is no support left from devs after they were moved to Battlefield 2042 project. This game is dead. There is no more devs working on this. They will not fix anything. Multiplayer is filled with cheaters. Really sucks man. Such a good game. "EA moved developers from Star Wars Battlefront 2 to work on Battlefield 2042, which led to the discontinuation of support for Battlefront 2. This decision was part of a broader shift where DICE allocated resources to the development of Battlefield 2042, which was seen as a priority for EA. The team behind Battlefront 2 was disbanded in 2020 when support was ended for the game, and developers were shuffled onto Battlefield 2042 and other projects. This move was criticized by some fans, who felt that it led to the neglect of Battlefront 2, which had potential for continued development and support."

loot box system back in the day was so exploitative that even some countries like Belgium considered banning the game, categorizing it as gambling lol nowadays, all the DLC content and the loot boxes have been made free in the celebration edition or just deleted. nice game —the major problems are cheaters in competitive infantry-based game modes like supremacy and galactic assault, and extremely unbalanced matches in starfighter game modes. besides that, co-op and ewok hunt are perfect; starfighter and heroes vs villains (when you're lucky to get a balanced match) are pretty good too, and the campaign... well, it's kinda "meh" but it's good though.

A must try if you're a Star Wars fan. The campaign is fun to try, but the multiplayer is the main selling point, for me. I got the game on sale, and would only recommend it if it's under 10$.

Great graphics and sounds, great landscapes, great game concept! (Bonus if you like the Star Wars movies.) That being said, I still can't see anything to shoot until they're shooting at me, or they're right on top of me. The GUI is not very intuitive. Leveling weapons is first a mystery and then a chore. Understanding what the skill cards actually mean (and what they do) takes online research. It would be nice to look at it and think, "+3% to damage - okay, I want that." Instead you might read, "Improved Vanguard, lasts longer" and think... what the heck is Vanguard? Unique buttons for skills aren't helpful, either. IE: Grenades and weapon secondaries. Couldn't tell you one from the other. I just pop them once in awhile to see if they're something I can use. LOL But I love matching up with 20-40 players and running (or jetting) around a huge landscape with blasters going pew, pew, pew! :-)

Matchmaking is just level 500-1000 players with maxed everything stomping people like me who have nothing. Sure the games old but why am I playing against these losers who do nothing but jerk off to star wars cosplay and don't have a job.

An excellent and immersive game, it perfectly blends large-scale battles with unique gameplay elements. The graphics and sound design are top-notch, creating an unparalleled atmosphere. Regular updates and new content keep the game fresh and engaging. I highly recommend it to all fans of the franchise and online shooter enthusiasts.

I'm going to preface that I am a Star Trek guy over Star Wars - meaning I have no idea who is what or what the story lines are. I will say this, this game is pretty awesome, chaotic, and hectic. The big bonus (surprisingly) is that EA removed all the microtransactions in the game - which was a big upset when the game first came out. Very glad they did otherwise I wouldn't have bought this! STAR WARS Battlefront II (SWB2)'s gameplay is pretty rock solid, whether controlling with a controller or a keyboard and mouse. The player chooses from four classes (assault, officer, heavy, and specialist). Each have their own weapon selection, and further weapons can be unlocked as the player plays those classes. As the player plays the game and acquires credits, they're able to customise certain classes with specific unlock credits. Some of the unlocks include grenades, rocket launchers (or vehicle specific weapons), shield bonuses, credit bonuses, damage bonuses, and other special ability. Each class has three abilities - which don't cost anything to use either than waiting for a cool down. Another cool feature is as the player plays the match they collect credits, in which they can use to spawn speciality characters or vehicles. They do not carry forward, however it gives the player incentive to do well. Luckily the game is very forgiving and does give players credits even if they're not the best at the game. The game has multiple game modes: large scale battles, smaller based objectives modes, hero focused modes, and some other minor modes. Within those modes there are also other varied modes. Some modes have players fighting in space while others on the ground, and sometimes a mix of both. Besides multiplayer mode there is a full cinematic single player mode that was really well done - and very much appreciated to be included in the game. The visuals and graphics are also well done. Chaos is everywhere and it looks incredible, whether its shaders, special effects, explosions, fires, gun-fire, etc... If the action is taking place on the ground or in space it seems like all the details were included. This was done incredibly well and the player feels as if they're under pressure at all times. The user-interface was also really well done and very simple to navigate the menus. The sounds and music were also well done. The cinematic dialogue is on point and all necessary sounds are in the game. Small sounds from enemy footsteps to overhead air ships are all included. Both these domains were extremely well done. Overall, I would highly recommend this game, especially if it is on sale. I bought this game for $5 and it was probably one of the best purchases I made. Highly recommend to purchase either solo or with friends, and of course with any game, it is a lot better with friends. Again, super surprised EA went back on their in-game purchases and highly praise whoever decided to make that move. More games need to stop predatory pricing strategies and just let Gamers enjoy their game. I wouldn't have bought this without this major change. Heads up gamers, EA launcher is required to play this game. Personally, Im getting sick and tired of paying Steam to play games just to have steam open another launcher like Epic Games, EA, Ubisoft, Etc.

It is casual fun. Great graphic. Simple game play. No micro transaction. I love the Ewok hunt mode.
