Unless you're yearning for a digital Spirit Island-fix, I would suggest staying clear of this game. It's a buggy mess, especially when playing multiplayer.

One of the very best tabletop-to-PC conversions out there.

The best board game there is. This is a great adaptation, the only downside is the content is behind the physical version but they're catching up quickly.

Been a long time since I played this game, and it still fun for its complexity, and its original theme. This video game adaptation makes learning the game simpler, learning the spirits, more enjoyable. And with all the DLCs, a lot more complex at the same time. One of my favorite board games of all time, seriously. :)

Spirit Island is an amazing game for solo or multiplayer play. The app has a great learn to play tutorial to get you into the game and there is a great variety of spirits to choose from even in the base game. Add on the expansion DLCs and you endless combinations of fun to look forward to.

This is quite simply the best board game adaptation of all time. Spirit Island the board game offers almost endless challenge and replayability, and this adaptation is very faithful to that game, removing the fiddliness that can sometimes characterize the board game experience. If you have any interest in digital board games whatsoever, you need to purchase this game.

The best thing about the PC version of this game is that it helps eliminate setup and takedown time of playing the actual tabletop game and it catches all the rules that you might miss. Limitless replayability!

Spirit Island is very fun and well designed, but the glitches are extremely annoying. I play almost exclusively with others and I experience a serious, game-stopping bug nearly every game. Yes, there are ways around the glitches without having to give up on the game entirely, but it honestly should not be necessary to have these workarounds just to play the game we paid for! On top of that, you are locked out of many achievements if you play with undo, which is pretty unreasonable when there are frequently glitches that can only be fixed with undo. I really love this game and when it does work, it's one of the best tabletop games I've ever played. Unfortunately, as a result of the bugs, I cannot recommend this game. If they ever get meaningfully fixed, however, I will change my review accordingly. Some of the glitches I encounter daily: - Can't change "Growth group" option once you have selected it, even though you should be able to undo it. The undo button just never appears - Game constantly desyncs/fails to update to the correct phase of the game - Game gets stuck on the "syncing data" window for one person, completely locking the game (perfect combo for the glitch above!) - During the Spirit Phase, game will lag or hang when placing shrines and choosing what cards to play - With some powers, pressing undo will just get everyone stuck in a loop where you can't undo past the use of that power because the game just undoes to the "select target" stage, instead of undoing to before the power was used - People will get randomly kicked from the game at least once per session (and this was with us all on the same Wifi--not internet/computer issues!) - When joining multiplayer sessions, game will not recognize the correct combination of elements and/or random people will join with NO WAY to remove them These bugs get much worse when playing a four-player game, but I still experience them with a two-player game as well. Please fix these bugs so that I can play this game in peace!!

This is a great board-game I would recommend. But also, one of the few online board-games that I would recommend to buy, even if you do not have online friend to play it with. Every, and I mean EVERY board game online multiplayer is dead, you need to set up games with your own friends, or look for a community through Discord. It is a pain, because games are long, take too much to play with strangers. Spirit Island solitaire, single player mode, is basically the same game as multiplayer. It is not a specific new rule, it plays the same. So you can get dozens of hours of fun by yourself, and then, if you are lucky or want to invest, can play multiplayer with friends. But that is not needed.
