I took this game thinking it will be some what like Burnout Paradise, but its kind of shit, not enjoying it at all. The AI too, races in a such a way that it makes it pretty obvious that they are not bound to any sort of vehicle speed or movement limits. You can have the fastest car and the ai will brush past you like a breeze with the slowest car, sometimes it will just slow down before the finish line and sometimes just zoom past me at the finish line. Neither do i feel like my vehicle is constrained to any driving style, it can be just flying around, get butt stuck to another car in front of me, all kind of random shit basically. Graphics are fine. But overall, this doesn’t even give me the slightest rush, like Paradise gives me

Amazing game. First time I played it back in 2009...on my grandfather's desktop computer...It was and still is so much fun
And it works well on my weak laptop with dual core cpu and a GT720M

It's basically FlatOut 2 Directors Cut. Still a fun (also frustrated) racing games to play. Gonna try wreckfest after this.

I miss this era of arcade racing games. I played the PSP version of this exact game growing up, titled "FlatOut: Head On" - If you ever played that, this is quite literally the exact same game. Just good dumb fun, turn your brain off and go for the biggest crashes you can

For me this is the perfect racing game. The races feel fast, the enviroment feels alive (thanks to many destructable props and different routes you can take), the other drivers have their own names and character models which adds so much personality to the game (especially that you and them might get wrecked If received enought damage), and I absolutely love the soundtrack.

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage Collector's Edition is when racing turns into a full-on destruction show! Improved graphics, even more chaos, and that signature insane atmosphere we love about FlatOut. Cars get smashed, drivers go flying, tracks break apart – just the way it should be! If you’re looking for ultimate thrill and adrenaline, this edition is an absolute blast!

One of the best games of its kind (destruction racers). Basically the OG Flatout 2 with upgraded physics and polished graphics + more destructible objects and 4 new characters to race against. I've played tens if not hundreds of hours of this game when it came out and this is a nice way to experience the sheer joy of full-speed crushing into enemies and watching their cars blow up like fireworks once again after more than a decade.
Honestly the game looks pretty good even today (there are newer games that aged much worse) and driving model, although it is rather simple, is still fun even after years.
I tried Wreckfest couple of years back, because that was supposed to be the spiritual successor of the series after literally one of the worst games ever that was Flatout 3 and still average-at-best Flatout 4, but I didn't find it very fun or interesting even though it looks really good and physics and destruction models are much more advanced. I also tried Trail Out, which looks similar, but ultimately decided to get back to this masterpiece.
For 4e in sale, there is no reason to not buy it. It's still hella fun.

Solid car game. To those who play it though, beware of random rocks in bushes. And Jack. Watch out for Jack.

After the recent patch that removed Live For Windows, added support for Steam achievements and made this game playable on modern devices, including Steam Deck, I have my utmost respect and support for Bugbear Entertainment, who care for their entire library of games, including their legacy library of games that came out over a decade ago. If you love great games, Flatout, Flatout 2, Flatout Ultimate Carnage and Wreckfest are 100% worth the price.
Bugbear's show of support for their legacy content shows that they care for their consumers, hence I bought Wreckfest 2 Early Access.
