An exciting card game in a fantasy setting. You have to think through a lot of ingenious tactics in order to win numerous and difficult battles with various opponents. You have to consider many options for the development of events for each opponent in order to win.

A fascinating hybrid of a board game and a card bagel with gods in the role of our mercenaries from various ancient religions. Cut in a cartoon style with frivolous art, but a serious variety. With the help of a cube, we move along the board, where we get to loot, then to obstacles, and as soon as the throws end, we start fighting. We choose three gods with the characteristics that suit us, we can put the rest in reserve, and send them to the battle branches. We use suitable cards for certain gods, but in order to use the spells given to us, the walker must move forward to the battlefield, the rest cannot be used at this moment. It may sound confusing in my description, but in reality it is a fairly simple system with great capabilities. We get new cards, new heroes, new options for varying the composition of the group for victories. Fans of card battles should definitely take a closer look at this game, and the myth component makes the process even more exciting. So far, there are only two versions of the gods (Greek and Egyptian), but the developers promise to replenish the content. There is no localization, but the language entry threshold is low, everything is intuitive.

An exciting hybrid of a board game and a card roguelike with the gods as our mercenaries. Fans of card battlers should definitely take a closer look at this game, and the mytho component makes the process even more exciting. This toy is a card, turn-based strategy with turn-based battles. It sounds very complicated, but in reality it all looks very cool and funny. It's an interesting mix of card games and turn-based combat from the early Final Fantasy games.

The game looks impressive, backgrounds, spells, cards and animations, everything is drawn very well, I liked the style of drawing. At first glance, the game seems too complicated, but having figured out a little bit at an easy level of difficulty, it's worth switching to the most difficult, this is the whole idea and the game becomes very challenging. Well, as a bonus, the game was cheap.

There's some really frustrating bugs, sometimes the game refuses to let you interact with your hand (yes I had DP left). And the arbitrary damage and health numbers make it annoying to calculate damage. I like the board game concept though.

Cardnarok: Raid with Gods is a strategic card game where the most attentive wins. There is no specific plot and some skills, only cards and strategy skills. Try different combinations and win.

The first thing usually asked about deckbuilder roguelikes is: How similar is it to the big names in this genre?
Is Cardnarok like StS? In some aspects, yes. The map is similar - 3 to 4 paths with fights, shops, events - but there is no full preview. Shops are also similar to StS insofar that cards can be bought and removed here. What is NOT like StS is the team-building aspect. You have 3 active characters, not just one.
So is it like Monster Slayers then? Also yes, in some aspects. In MS, you have a main character and 2 companions for support. In Cardnarok, you have 3 playable characters from a pool of different myths and classes (tank, healer, support, physical damage, magical damage), and Divine ('colorless') cards that do different things depending on which character plays them. This makes decks very versatile and is probably one of the most unique mechanics in Cardnarok.
Is it anything like Monster Train or Griftlands? Not really. What 'tower defense' is to MT, and 'RPG' is to GL, 'board game' is to Cardnarok. The overworld is a board game where you roll dice (obtained from fights) and move a character around tiles to gather resources (XP, health/resurrection consumables, deity unlocks). This is both an interesting mix, and a bit of the weak spot at the moment. The concept is good, but practically it can take a (too) long time to watch the character move around if you have 10+ dice. Not a big deal, and a dev said they'll look into speeding it up.
Other noteworthy things: Active devs, quick replies and fixes to bug reports, not many bugs to begin with. Runs well, graphics look good, music is relaxing. Currently, there are only Greek and Egyptian deities available, but some fresher and therefore interesting myths are in the pipeline (both as free and paid DLC).
All things considered, Cardnarok is a very promising entry in this somewhat oversaturated genre, and has a good mix of tested and tried mechanics and fresh ideas. Definitely recommended!
