outside of the no hardcore gay robo-sex, this game is really fun and I would suggest this to gamers who want a challenge as it has one of if not THE hardest boss in FPS history but also having a fun movement and skill ceiling

This game is honestly one of the best FPS games I have played in a LONG time. everything about it is amazing, and the fact the game isn't even finished yet says a lot, although all of the robots (even the one you play as) is hot. also Gabriel is hot. can't have sex tho, but that can be passed aside
(in all seriousness though actually play this game it is amazing)

My friend introduced me to this game about a year ago, before I got a computer, and since then I've been obsessed with it. It has really addicting gameplay, and is overall fun. I won't include spoilers other than this game is screw around and find out, and then it's find out and screw around. If you ask "Wait... can i..?" whatever it is you most likely can. This game is truly amazing, and has so much replay ability it's not even funny, i heavily recommend this is everyone, although i'd recommend the demo first, because this game is not for everyone.

Honestly the gameplay is fun but the characters (ESPECIALLY V1) are too sexy. I cannot play this game without getting a boner so I do not recommend.
UPDATED REVIEW ON FEB 25, 2025

I originally pirated this game late Q2 of 2024
I pirated this game because I found a funny post online saying that the developer more or less supported the act or at least understood the reasoning as to why. And I legitimately was in no position to afford the game, even on sale.
After about a month or so of hyperfixating on the game I realized that I do in fact want to purchase the game here, on Steam.
From the gameplay, story, mechanics, dialogue, sound design, movement. Everything was very well put together. And that's from the perspective of pirated, unsupported, outdated version of the game. Even with that in mind I genuinely enjoyed Ultrakill.
Finding out sometime later...
That Hakita was still actively developing the game and planning on revamping the entirety of it, I realized this developer genuinely cares and wants to improve on it.
Not just "finish the game's levels, get it out of early access."
UPDATED REVIEW: As of February 24th, 2025, the game received an update which revamped many features and completely overhauled the graphic designs of many, many things. From level graphical design, mechanics being tightened even further for even more intense gameplay, to completely reworked enemies. The highly anticipated "revamp" update brought many new things to the game and a fine refresh and refine of what was already there.
I'm no drinker, but it's "like a fine aged wine." It was already good. But now there's just more goodness to be enjoyed.
Fast forward to the 15th of November, 2024, I had moved states and had slowly put together enough money to purchase the game.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago, about the 24th of January, 2025, I actually launched the game and gave it a shot again.
Still a bit rusty, but I still remembered enough.
Ultrakill's mechanics are still incredible.
The movement, the music, the combat, you feel like an absolute powerhouse with every action.
Overall this game is perfect for people who enjoy

Loud music

Breakcore

Intense fighting

Excellent movement

Intertwined weapon mechanics

A new spin Dante's Inferno

GoPros with legs

A really well put together story (STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION!)

Dante's Divine Comedy
Dante's Divine Comedy was written by Dante Alighieri, is a story that takes place beyond the living realms. Many of you will know it as "Dante's Inferno" as it most famously features Hell and it's wicked layers, such as Lust, and Gluttony.
Here in Ultrakill, they are present as well. However, it takes place ages beyond when the Divine Comedy was originally written (1321).
Now. Centuries if not a millennia past. Mankind is entirely dead and machines are a supreme force. With nothing other than their wits and a ferocious thirst for blood to fuel them with.
And the denizens are granted a body, and depending on their life, receive a larger or smaller body. This is an oversimplification but I digress.
You play as V1, one of the humbler machines by scale.
Blood somehow grants machines degree of consciousness.
V1 finds it's way to Hell, but you're not alone. There are others. Machines, denizens, and more. A lot more.
You thirst for blood, as you are fueled by blood like all machines are. One by one, killing every denizen of every layer of Hell.
You are not the only machine who figured that there's nothing left of Earth, to find your way to Hell.

To conclude this review

This game gets extremely high re/commendation from me for how well intertwined everything is. Lore is everywhere, everything serves it's purpose. Your starting pistol has purpose. Has lore. History.
Entire rooms serve purpose, not just a stage for combat. Joke areas have purpose. Secrets have purpose. Enemies have purpose beyond combat fodder.
Please, finish reading this and hopefully enjoy the game once it's done downloading.
And most importantly, have a nice day.
