such a beautiful yet aching story. no spoilers though. please do try your best to clear chapter 7. and in chapter 8 when i saw the ending, i was literally crying.. it hits me hard like damn hard. that emotion didn't end after an hour and i kept resisting closing the game... btw i always love foxes and you know what? even before playing this game, to me foxes always seems to carry a kind of spiritual energy us humans can't understand, they think and feel deeply. and fox couples often stay together their entire life, and that, that's very beautiful.

A very pretty game. Puzzles and gives a quiet story, Wonderful mechanics. Though it is pretty sad. I would recommend this for anyone just wanting to be immersed in a wonderful story with stunning visuals. I played it on a separate account and only picked it back up recently on this account. Seriously, play this. You don't really "fight" in the game, you solve mechanics to "beat" the bosses and such. It can be considered hard, but once you get the mechs down It really is just and immersive story and well done mechanics. Plus, foxes are f'n cute!

I was mostly enjoying this up until Chapter 7 when I got stuck. I apparently can't finish the game unless I go back and redo each chapter and find all the shaman? Or maybe just a particular shaman? I don't know which, and I'm not sure why the game let me get to Chapter 7 if I was missing something vital. They don't always stand out and I spent several chapters wandering around with a staff but couldn't find a shaman to gift it to. I liked the graphics and especially the music; the physics were a little wonky regarding jumping but nothing game breaking.

Very satisfying game to finish. Quite linerar and very straightforward, although boasting a very satisfying ending and encouraging exploration, even within the confines of a mostly linear path. Besides a few optimisation issues, there is nothing to complain about. Calm and relaxing straightforward gameplay. What more can you ask for?

I had originally discovered this game by my switch. It had been a few years, and I hadn't played, so I decided to purchase here on steam. There is no narration, but that made me want to pay more attention to details to learn about the story. The scenery is beautiful and there was many moments that created different emotions. The story line came together beautifully. Though I struggled with some of the puzzles, it made me put my mind to work to figure out how to get to the next step. This game may not be for everyone, but I absolutely enjoyed it and had a great time.

Played through this with my daughter. She loved the fox jumping around and the puzzles. Overall, I would say the game is fine. It has some good moments and neat scenes. the puzzles are sometimes a little odd and I think I probably bypassed 1 or 2 by just cheesing it up a wall or over a rock. If you are fairly good at games you will complete this in probably a Saturday. if you want perfect it. I would say get a guide for the "collection" items and get it done in one. Overall I would say this is a good choice if you want to get a young kid into games without overwhelming them. If you want the more "Art" side of it all, its ok, but other games do it better.

On the shorter side, but I enjoyed playing it. Essentially a puzzle game with an emotional story. Very immersive with wonderful visuals. Ran well, didn't experience any significant bugs. Perfect game for those quiet afternoons/evenings.

Spirit of the North is one of the most beautiful and relaxing games I’ve ever played. You guide a fox through breathtaking Nordic-inspired landscapes, accompanied by a mysterious spirit fox, and the whole experience feels like stepping into a living painting. The world design is simply stunning — from snow-covered valleys to glowing cave systems, every area is filled with detail and atmosphere. What I love most is that the game tells its story without a single word. Everything is conveyed through visuals, music, and exploration, which makes the journey feel more personal and immersive. The soundtrack is gorgeous, perfectly matching the calm yet emotional tone of the adventure. The puzzles are engaging without being too difficult, and the pace encourages you to slow down, explore, and soak in the beauty around you. It’s the perfect game to unwind with after a stressful day — no rush, no pressure, just pure, serene exploration. If you’re looking for an atmospheric, heartfelt experience that combines nature, mystery, and stunning art design, Spirit of the North is an absolute gem. 🦊✨ 10/10 — Awoooo Get Goo Goo ALU!
