The game offered a great play of the original game along with maps and missions from other versions such as the Nintendo 64, Covert Ops, and other Expansion materials from Red Alert. It's a great remaster that plays well on today's machines.

Game is great- However, multiplayer game play is plagued with lag and slow server speed. They need to make some improvements here, its hurting the game play.

This was the very first RTS I ever played on computer. Back when I own a computer. I loved when I went to certain friends/family houses who owned Red Alert and had a computer. Going Internet cafes to play against friends. It was great time, so much better than now. These games for me is all about the nostalgia. I would recommend to any age.

It's Command and Conquer, why are you reading a review. You already know if you want to play it or not. Updated graphics are decent. Old games have a different level of hardness I forgot about.

Great game, with a surprising amount of depth considering it's age and simplicity. I'd say the best way to explain this game is to compare it directly against StarCraft, which was released as a direct competitor to this game.
in Starcraft, you build worker units which build structures, and are expected to build bases at mineral sites to extract the precious, finite resources. You fight other players for control of these sites, in order to further fuel your war machine. If your Command center / hive / Nexus is destroyed, resources cannot be collected, and more workers cannot be trained. Thus, eliminating this structure will entirely cripple your opponent, effectively winning you the game.
In C&C, there are no worker units. Structures are built and placed in the world by you, the player, and slowly spread outwards from your Construction Yard. Resources are gathered by harvester units, and deposited at a refinery. Resources are spread out across the map, in large mineral fields that are extremely difficult, if not impossible, to control. These changes mean two things: It is significantly harder to cripple a player by destroying their Command Hub, as it is necessary for building, but not resource gathering. Secondly, the game is won by successfully harassing enemy resource gatherers, who must leave the base in order to find minerals to collect.
This dynamic makes C&C a far more challenging and interesting game to approach, as brute force and surgical strikes are often inefficient compared to harassment and hit/run attacks. love it. 10/10

An extremely faithful remaster of the much loved first C&C games. Full of behind the scenes additional content, an in-game jukebox to play all the music and modern quality of life improvements to the UI (like right clicking, queuing units).
There is only one criticism I would level at it, that would be that the FMVs while AI upscaled, just don't match the high resolution quality of the rest of the product. I understand that the original footage was lost and this was their only solution, but it's not quite there. The rest of it is top quality.
