I was on the verge of starvation, so I ventured out, weak with hunger. I explored maybe two houses before I came across a slightly larger one. Wow, this guy must be rich, he's got to have some food. So I broke down the door with aching muscles, and stumbled about in the early morning light. I ripped open cabinets and searched through rubble on the floor, to no avail. I burst open another door, and beheld a cat languidly sitting in a beam of light.
A moment of deliberation, then I readied my rifle. It looked at me with large, soulful eyes. "I'm sorry," It said. That gave me pause. A talking feline seemed no thing to aggravate, not in this twisted world. Who knew what it really was. So I walked off with a growling stomach. I pushed open the last door, and saw something heavenly.
A beautiful piece of bread, sitting on the ground. Ignoring the blue mold, I quickly wolfed it down. It was quite a traumatic experience. After that, I went home, and sat down in the corner as the sun set. I held my rifle in my lap, my fragmentation grenade close by. I lit a match, and began to read a book.
Suddenly, after an indeterminable amount of time, I stopped. I felt...a presence. Something was watching me. My breathing sped up, my body alight with the thrilling tonic of adrenaline, and I readied my rifle. A horrific creature careened out of the darkness, hissing and wailing in a chorus of voices in a foreign tongue that began to melt my sanity. It sounded like a twisted choir of madness. I saw only a flash of it before, I panicked, hurling my grenade. After that, I fired my rifle. A single, precious bullet shot forwards, punching through what could only very loosely be considered its sternum. It howled with an earsplitting screech, but then my grenade detonated.
Shrapnel flew everywhere, blowing out my windows demolished the walls closest to it in a spray of plaster and Eldritch gore. Some of it's visceral remains had coated me and my rifle, but other than that, I was okay. Panting, I looked through the settling dust at my destroyed home. With a shaking hand, I wiped purple blood from my brow. I had survived, though barely.

i dont think the dev realises that, he can have his short and intense, die at the end, without being lazy and not implementing a save system. truthfully, i would not have refunded this if it was at all able to be saved. load in, die, thats fun.
load in, get good progress, bunker up and start to think of a plan to escape this awful place, have to go for irl stuff, cant save, and my pc is a potato, which is why i play ascii games, but i cant save, minimizing will just slow down my computer.
do better man, its like you think that your artistic vision is more important than a fun game?
like seriously, is this an art project or something?
