Impostor Factory Reviews

Beautiful and heartbreaking, as with the rest of this series. Worth playing the others first, as there is light continuity between them. This one approaches the subject matter from a slightly different angle, deepening the overall narrative while being its own story.

I loved all the previous games. But this one was a miss for me. Impostor Factory leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination. Game controls every little aspect of the narrative. And it's just... not fun. [spoiler]At the end I really hoped I'd at least be given the opportunity to think what "the perfect life" would look like for these characters, but nope. Game shows you e v e r y t h i n g, so you finish it and never think about what happened ever again. You don't need to think or wonder, it's all there. Closer to the middle I was so exhausted and bored out of my mind, I hoped the "data" wasn't representing of how much is left of the history to see. But yeah, it was. I was hoping for something to go wrong in the machine, but, again, nope. It starts as an interesting murder mystery with clones or time travel, I got hooked. But ends up as a boring and unimaginably long life story.[/spoiler]

《寻找天堂》>《去月球》>《影子工厂》。开篇的恐怖氛围造成对后续游戏剧情的严重错误预期且后续的发展并不能足够有力地圆上这一点。整体剧情依然是高瞰非常拿手的治愈系故事，但是一方面相比两部前作操作性几乎为零这点甚至让我一个手残都有些时候感到还挺希望能有个小游戏调剂下故事，另一方面《去月球》遗留下来的在女性塑造价值观上的一些问题似乎也在此被放大了，对生育价值的强调在现代看显得有些老旧和令人不适，但美妙的爱情发展依然为其扳回一局，最感动的部分其实仍然是最后Faye出现，交代了前作两位主人公真正的前史并让所有人度过了幸福的一生的那段，真是绝佳的特德·姜小说般的科幻题材，不由得赞一句这样的设计实在太美了，世界本该如此。 “他一直在。而从今往后，他再也不会缺席了。” “从今往后，所有人都不会再缺席了。”

The game is simply beautiful and completely out of the box. You expect something will happen, but suddenly, something else happens and you just stay "whaaaat?". There are many emotion, I felt sad and happy with many things in the story, but there are multiple perspectives and sides. I laughed a lot with some parts. I can say it was really immersive and loved this game. Truly!

I think I have went through every single emotions at least twice while playing this game. Even more then the previous games.

I just finished the 'To the moon trilogy', Finding Paradise and Impostor Factory are the other two games in the series. They are really amazing games. I cannot say anything without spoilers, but Neil Watts is one of my favorite characters now he is so complex and likeable. These games are amazing. I am going to get a $20 steam gift card so I can buy the two spinoff games. The character writing is off the charts. The characters feel so real and the series had so many twists that it surprised me. The games just kept getting better as they came along. They really ironed out the kinks. The artwork is good. If there is a slightly lower point in the series it is the music though, it fits the scenes, but it will not blow you away like everything else. 10/10 experience made me feel sorry for the characters. Will play again in a few years.

The game was short but incredibly exciting and amazing.

The cat and ricebot are easily the best characters in this game. Good game. 👍👍

I mean it was kind of expected that this would be a heartfelt story like the previous games by this publisher but damnnn.. I wasn't ready for the direction the story was headed. It had emotional moments, lighthearted moments and a little bit of well done whimsical moments thrown here and there. [spoiler] I lost control of emotions and burst into tears when it connected back to the previous games. Didn't expect Neil Watts to be here. [/spoiler]. Loved the post-credits mini episode to show that the publishers are 100% working on something new. Great job <3
