Welcome to Primrose Lake is a time management game, which you have to efficiently and accurately serve the customers who require a number of items or services from you. The game itself spreads over numbers of locations, where each of the locations will have you take the role of different persons within the town. Initially, your tasks will be simple such as barista-ing someone a coffee, serve them some doughnut, or receive their payments – but sooner or later, it will get more hectic as the number of items offer will increase on further levels ahead. On top of doing your duties, there is also a racoon in each level which you must spot and catch for a bonus diamond.
The soundtracks are very fitting and I honestly love how it is so acoustic as it really bring me to the country-vibes genre. It is very soothing and relaxing whlist you play through the stages. For the visual, they are very cute and well designed - definitely what we can expect from GameHouse Original Stories, even by first glimpse. I have to highlight how those little animation when Jenny flipped her hair during the first level of my gameplay; although some may said it is just minor details but I personally appreciate that kind of details because it just make the characters even more lively.
Moving on the most important point of this game, the story - if you are also one of the fans of these GHOS time management games, then you know that it is very rare for a single game to be the only release within that particular story. So yes, just like any other GHOS series, they have their own self-contained stories and this is just the first season of this very specific series.
The ending somehow seems to show that this is not the end as we haven't really catch the culprit yet.
There is a possibility that there will be more seasons may be created for this series. With that being said, I am definitely looking forward to its next release.
Fortunately, I do not see any bugs in this game. So the overall gameplay has been very smooth without any problems at all.
If you are someone who love to play casually and also who like a good story; especially when it gets more interesting as you progress through the levels - then this game would probably be your cup of tea.

What a waste of time and money!! This is really one of the worst games ever made, it's boring af!! The story just drags out and out, it never gets to a point till literally at the end and believe me it's disappointing... What annoys me the most about the game is the double clicking when the item just can't get picked up, so you lose time and money specially playing on hard mode. The game is really buggy as well, spelling errors, repeating a level and then you have to quit because you don't get the full order combo and you can't complete the level at all. Those shoes that looks the same from the back as it's on the front, really guys? Ridiculous!! The characters expressions are the same in every conversation, scratching their heads the whole time, but hey at least they have 5 fingers (shrug). I repeat a total WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!

So I bought this looking for a new, more elaborate time management game, and I'd say I've found that in this!
Just so others can know I'm playing on Windows 10, and as of playing for over an hour, I had no crashes or issues.
It's a pretty fun game so far and It certainly has a lot to it. When I got this, I was sort of expecting the whole idea of this game having a "story" to be sort of clickbait, because a lot of games like this claim to have a story but then it really doesn't.
But this really does, and it's integrated really nicely into the game.
Basically before and after each level you get a small cutscene that sets up and continues the story.
Also, levels can have their own special task you have to complete, which fits into the theme of the level and adds an added layer of challenge since that means you have an extra task to pay attention to.
Finally, the music is very relaxing and I like the art style. Obviously the cutscenes and such are very minimal, so don't expect some fully animated experience, but for this genre of game it's a breath of fresh air and I wish there were more games like this.
I'll most definitely be playing this for a lot longer.

Very fun time management game with a cool mystery storyline. Levels are moderately challenging, played for 3 stars to up the challenge each level. Sweet characters in the town and fun storyline - would love to see a sequel

That game was beautiful, I loved the story, the music, the characters, the graphic design. And the gameplay was good old gamehouse manner (but with a satisfying smooth way of moving)

A very cool game with a unique way of telling the story. The characters are pretty well done and he story is also pretty cool (even though its obvi to seperate Jess and Jenny). The Historical Society lvls are a bit boring but everything else is pretty nice. Im really looking forward what will happen in the sequel. I can really recommend it.

The mini-games are fun, but the story is far too convoluted to enjoy. And takes soooooooo long to resolve.
Wouldn't recommend for the price.

To start off this game's story is incomplete, the sequel is not on Steam but there are two other games you can get from another platform. I'm quite surprised this is not published under GameHouse although it is a GameHouse series.
Primrose Lake is a mystery Time-Management game, you play with multiple characters but the main story is about two girls, Jessica and Jennifer. One day Jessica was driving down and noticed a girl in a bridal outfit standing by the road, she asked to be picked up and drove anywhere, clearly bailing on her husband-to-be. The girl is named Jennifer and she is a split image of Jessica. Surprisingly both of them share the same family name, Carlyle. They arrived at Primrose Lake, to Jessica's Cafe where you'll start playing and serving people, unknown to Jenny everyone in this place has a secret, some of them are even dark.

The gameplay is like any time management from Gamehouse, you stock items, serve people and try to achieve an extra mission in each level. You also collect gems to renovate a garden. The nice addition is the family tree, the more you learn about the village, the more people will show up in the family tree.

The new addition to the game is the investigation levels, it is not counted among the 60 main levels, but they are an extra step to learn more about what is going on. There is one bugged achievement related to the investigation but in the discussion board, they discovered how to fix it.

Pros:
+Beautiful graphics.
+Playing with multiple characters.
+Good story but incomplete. (There are two more released games but not on Steam)
+Interesting Characters.
+Good soundtracks.
+Steam achievements.
Cons:
-Incomplete story.
-Needs custom mouse cursor (Sometimes you can't see the default small system cursor when the stage is busy)
-No steam cloud.
The suspense of this game is high, every time you finish a level the story becomes darker and makes you think of different outcomes, but what I suspected it didn't happen. As what I said the story is not done yet, hopefully, they'll bring the second and third games to Steam one day.
