6 and a half hours to 100% the game. If you focused on simply finishing the game (getting home), you could probably easily get it done under 15 minutes, if you knew what you were doing, but that's not a downside: most of the game is sidequests. Cat: 10/10 Cat is well animated. Cartoony rather than furry, so it's no Stray, but it's a fun experience playing as a cat. You can mew, and do a variety of other emotes, some unlockable. Being a cat is an enjoyable experience in this game, and there are many nods to canonical things cats do, that you get to do, or to endure. Gameplay: 8/10 Explore, climb on things, have fun. I like the greater freedom you have compared to Stray. You CAN leap off ledges (but you don't get hurt: worst case, you just have to climb back up again). Platforming isn't arduous, and there's only one very easy climb where timing matters at all. I reckon, suitable for pretty young kids. No real reason to replay it, nothing's randomized that I could tell, but still, it could be fun to do so because it's a fun game. At the very least, if you went home before completing your to-do list ingame, go back up there a second time, as many of the characters from those quests show up in that path towards your home. Story/plot/characters: 8/10 Not voice acted. It won't win any storytelling awards, but the story is sweet and fun, as are all the characters. It maintains a constant upbeat tone of friendly cooperation between the nonhumans. You can (and will!) be a jerk to humans, but only in non-harmful non-impactful ways: tripping them, stealing their stuff, etc. Some nice Easter eggs, too :) Achievements: 8/10 Mostly very easy and fun: a couple of grindy ones (one you have to hunt down people using phones and get them to photograph you; one where you have to find cans and recycle them, which ended up being an hour of me stealing cans off soda drinkers). Many of the "do N things" (including the two grindy ones) are based on things which can respawn, so are easy: you don't have to hunt down every single one. There are a few "find every one" achievements, but I wouldn't bother looking up a walkthrough until you've explored the whole map, because most are fairly obvious. Two of the achievements require you to reach the end by getting home, but you can continue to play the game after that point (though I'd recommend leaving it until last). Consolitis: 6/10 (better than your average console port, but disappointing) There are some irritating aspects, and some nice surprises. While very clearly made by console gamers, this has far less of a problem than some games I've played. It supports XBox, Playstation, and Switch controllers, as well as keyboard + mouse. Irritating: to start the game, you have to click past two different popups telling you that you should use a controller. This is just silly and annoying. There is no good reason for these to be modal dialogs, and no good reason that any developer would want these to be the first thing people see from the game. I expected the game to require a controller, or at least to be terrible without one, and was expecting it to be my first Steam refunded game, but nope. Despite this strong and repeated declaration that they hate keyboard and mouse users, there's nothing in the game that needs or would benefit from a controller, apart from some nitpicks that they could have fixed in a fraction of the time it took them to make the code and art for the two popup dialogs. Those nitpicks are: conversations use cursor up/down, hardcoded, unremappable. rather than WASD or mouse to navigate the conversation options, . UI Dialogs (inventory, map, etc) close with escape key as you'd expect, but don't also toggle with the key you used to open them. Often instead of space, it displays the icon for the Mac "meta" key. But they mean space. Enter would have been good aliased to space, since it does the "confirm action" behavior, but that's a small nit to pick. During targeted jumps, you can't control the camera with the mouse, which is sometimes infuriating. There's no "windowed fullscreen" or "windowed" mode. The video is fullscreen, and if you change focus to another application, the game minimizes. It restores fine, without glitches, bit it's an irritation if you're, say, taking notes on your other screen. On the upside, you can also remap (most of) the keys, and their default key-mapping makes sense apart from in conversation dialogs. WASD, Space to jump, Shift to run, Ctrl to duck, Esc for main menu and to cancel out, I for index, M for map - the normal PC keys that you expect. LMB for primary action (use/talk/pickup), RMB for alternate actions (eat). Unusually for a console-heavy game, the mouse actually works in the interface, to drag scrollbars, click between tabs, etc, except for conversations. Some keys require long-hold, but they make sense: space is jump, long-hold to target jump; f is mew, long-hold to select other emotes. You can save at any time, rather than save points; however, when reloading, you spawn at a save point, and many things (smashable things, anything that randomly spawns) are reset. All game unlocks remain unlocked, and unique items remain where you left them, though. Overall: 9/10, strong recommend While I pick nits on the consolitis, it really doesn't get in the way of the game. It's short, and strikes a nice balance between wholesome feels with wicked cackles.

This has got to be one of the cutest games I have ever played! It such a delight to run around little Tokyo, causing mischief as a cat. Perfect for all ages, especially any kids you may have. 10/10 experience. Would love a squeal where we play a dog. :)

This should be turned into a cartoon show. such a cute game and lots to do; I kinda want to 100% it now but I can't seem to find the last hat and there's hidden trophies that I don't know how to start. 10/10 get it on sale for your kids

You play as a cat. You do things that cats typically do: - Be annoying - Get pet - Destroy property If all of that, wrapped in a simple art-style and some collect-a-thon side-objectives, sounds appealing to you, then this I'd recommend this game.

Stray was amazing, so it was only to be expected that more cat sims would follow, and LKBC does the fledgling genre proud. It's more whimsical and less story-driven, but not necessarily less fun.

This is just a lovely little game <3 Once I started playing it, I couldn't stop!! This game was reminiscent to me of Untitled Goose Game in that you're a little guy causing a lot of mischief, but I personally liked this one just a tad bit better than Untitled Goose Game! While Goose is mostly focused on figuring out puzzles and going through quests, Little Kitty is much more open-world and exploratory. There are not really that many puzzles in Little Kitty (which I prefer in my games) and if there are puzzles, they are largely optional--just like most of the quests in the game are unless you want to get 100% completion. I could definitely see this game attracting itself to all age demographics and I think I would have really enjoyed roaming around and causing mischief in this game as a child. This game is insanely kid-friendly (aside from maybe some of the harder platformer areas, but like I said before, these are almost all optional). All the animal characters introduced are all very sweet and adorable as well <3 There are platformer aspects but they are pretty easy to catch onto and I can't remember any time that I fell and got frustrated or times when I felt like I needed to take a break from a challenging climb, like I do with many in this genre. However, definitely understand that this game is at most 6-7 hours of content (I 100% completed the game in this time frame) and that the price point is pretty steep for the amount of new gameplay you will be getting. I would recommend to buy the game on sale if possible, as I'm not sure $25 is worth the amount of content. I also experienced some glitches while playing, but these were almost all related to the camera in dialogues being a bit janky. I honestly think if you are buying this game purely to be a cute little guy tripping people walking by and collecting cute hats, you honestly could rack up a lot more time than I did. Even when you "finish" the game (get back home), you don't really "finish" it and you are encouraged to continue playing. So that price might seem right to some while it might seem steep to others, depending on your goals are going into the experience! Really recommend this one! <3

I just finished the game + almost have all the achievements (98% as of writing). I highly recommend this game, especially if you like collecting things in games. Some people say it's a bit of a short game, and maybe it is, I personally played it just 30-60 min at a time spread out over multiple weeks so it didn't feel that short to me. It IS unfortunately kind of buggy in areas. Which is a shame because the game is so, so cute and good. The music is nice, I love the sound effects, but the dialogue and overall vibe of the game is the absolute best part of this game in my opinion. I often laughed out loud at the conversations and the characters, it's all just so great and cute. If you can look past the bugs then this is a 10/10 game imo. Sweet, cute, fun and relaxing, and adorable and fun characters. Highly recommend!!

Actually adorable. Thats it. The main story was quite short... For $32CAD it felt more like a long demo than a full story. I finished the story in 2.5 hours (with deviations from the story path at times) but theres still a lot to do. Apart from that, it's worth it

This is a pure, delightful little game -- I enjoy it, my 4 year-old daughter enjoys it, my autistic 11 year-old step-son loves it, and gosh dang if Little Kitty ain't the cutest little feline in this big ol' City.
