Great Game, play as you want. Use a guide to get all the quest though cause some are a headache to start/finish. TALK TO YOUR CACTUS AFTER EACH QUEST LOL

I wasn't sure if I was gonna like this game at first. It is pretty old and archaic. But over time, it really grew on me. This game is surprisingly addictive and ahead of it's time in several ways. There is tons of replayability after you completed your first play through. In fact, I was excited to go through the game a second time on a new game+ file and try out the harder difficulties. And once I start playing, it's hard to stop.

Legend of Mana is a game ahead of its time which turned out to be its biggest flaw. The game is open ended - somewhat open world like - jrpg with beautiful visuals and a killer OST. That being said the rpg elements are somewhat poor and the exploration is way too confusing as the dungeons are mazes with a blending tile set. I wish the game had a map or a quest tracker because many of the quests can become confusing if you have accepted too many quests. Combat wise the game is easy and it brings a bit too many elements from weapon skills, magic, monster ranching, golem making, music producing and cartography. The game explains these mechanics really poorly but since the game is on the easier side, you can just brawl through the monsters anyway. I do however recommend the game to be played with a guide. Guide helps you experience this colourful weird world Fa'Diel and meet the quirky characters. The stories behind characters are simple but charming. If you are a fan of the Seiken Densetsu series, this is a must buy. For PS1 RPG enthusiasts, I'd wait for a -50 % sale or so. Weird bonus points for Swedish opening and ending theme.

I have played Legend of Mana with my crush long ago. But still, i want to play it again. Yet it gives me grief of a lost love. We never meant to be together. However this game got us closer by far than anything else... This game has a special place in my heart and in my memory...

Whenever I play this game, I feel at home. Since the early '00s, I've played this game on PS1 and finished it almost 10 times. I've tried different map layouts at the start, focused on some weapons, experimented with button combinations to learn new skills and techniques. Tried out different monster companions, yet I've always ended up with Dragons~ I remember speedrunning the game a couple of times even when I didn't have internet. I even played the game with my neighbors from start to finish... so local co-op was super enjoyable as well. Yoko Shimomura's masterpiece soundtrack (Bejeweled City... what a banger), amazing cast of characters, unique art style on top (I still like the original graphics). This remastered version is the definitive edition of the game. Absolute unit. 10/10 game.
