The game is really good. Last time a game gave me these feelings was for The Binding of Isaac. They are still different games, but that addictive feeling paired with so many unlocks brings me back to that time.
The game is very enjoyable because you have to do more than hack & slash, using your movement which feels very good once you get the hang of it. That is already a lot more than what other roguelites ask, and then you have the items and synergies. The game oozes with style, which might not be to everybody's taste, but I personally love it.
The game probably deserves to have much more recognition than it does.
Just remember to enable the 2.0 beta branch and have fun.
