SECOND EDIT: Well, it seems this game is dead, kind of. It was ported to Xbox, so that's where the dev has been. Considering the game needs much more work than it was given porting it seems likes a fools gambit. I still hope this game gets a lot more work, but now that the dev has the xbox version and this version to worry about, I just don't see it happening. Plus, it's been needing updates since mid last year and its still not seen a thing, including fixes to game breaking bugs. At this point, avoid this game. Most of my info came from: https://twitter.com/MetalMind77 Below is previous reviews if you want to see my hopes for this game from mid last year. A lot of issues are still present, even with the minor adjustments from the previous edit. EDIT: since this review there have been a few updates so it looks like it's not abandoned. They're fixing things that I said need fixing in this review, such as new portal zones, and bodies and weapons. It's certainly getting love still, so do think about picking it up if you trust the dev to not give up. But it still needs a little more in my opinion. ---------------- Full before review below. ------------------- I genuinely hope this game isn't abandoned by the dev. It's a great foundation to a game, and you can get a somewhat decent amount of fun out of it. For the price, it's too little. It's about half the game you'd expect. The biggest thing the game needs is more content. More body/leg/core mods to spice up a build, I'd say at least 10 more of each. (There is currently less than 10 each if you don't count quality differences, I don't. Quality differences only matter most for cores, otherwise it's just slightly better stats). Same for weapons, at least 10 more weapons could make the game very fun. Balancing on the weapons is needed a little too. Long charge weapons need to shoot a tri bounce shot, not one bounce projectile. That's far too slow! Esp later game. More "portal" rooms. The 7 or so that's in at the moment with 3 or 4 combat rooms and 3 or 4 "human" rooms and of the human rooms only 2 being "useful" (one has a chance to ruin your setup by stealing a piece of gear, making him an auto skip later in runs) really chunks the feel very quick. I would even be fine with lore portals. Useless like the "drop bombs in the next room that hurt you too" guy (Never used him once, wouldn't recommend wasting the gears to use him), but at least adds some flavor and lets the story progress a little outside of the steam page. Heck, just throw in a few pixels or gears in some of them and they're no different and more interesting than some of the rooms already in. And the more that gets added, the better. I'd say this game could easily become an amazing game if more love gets put into it. I'd say the build setups are ok at the moment, overheat setup works, non-overheat setup works and each has their own weapons and stuff they want to use. I don't really agree with advanced modules carrying over fully after a won run. It's forces a similar play style next run and takes away from trying new things. It also making losing a run extremely punishing. Increasing the amount of gears gained per run by around 10-20% but resetting advanced modules every run would be better I feel. Much better. For the record, I made it to mastermode, beating the game 3 times, I died on my mastermode attempt because I thought I could tank something I couldn't with a ~50% dmg reduction. My word of warning is you can get stunlocked at the door, keep moving. I will change my review if more gets added to the game, but right now I just can't recommend it for full price. I feel like in just 12-13 hours, I did everything there is to do, twice. That shouldn't be the case for an 18$ game. TL:DR: It's a very pretty game, and fun with what's there, but there's just not enough to keep you around for what it costs at the moment. Keep an eye out for content updates because that's what it needs to take off.

All in all I'm not very impressed with this. It definitely could benefit from more... well, everything honestly. It's like they looked at NeuroVoider, said they could make that, then delivered one third of the content while lacking multiplayer. For all the claims of customization it feels woefully lacking. There's basically 5 guns with one of three tiers, then maybe 5 others that are unique. But you can unlock more!... about 8 more. Honestly, it'd be fine if they just had more potential choices in customization. While I don't weigh this very heavily; the story is basically non-existent. Even after beating it twice over, I had to go back and read the store page to understand why I was blowing this place up. I've also noticed some delay with controls, namely the "manual ventilation" (an important control if you intend to be, you know, attacking) not triggering unless I'm spamming the key. I almost hate to say this too. Their humor and references are on point. Yet so much of the rest of this is just plain mediocre.
Really interesting bug:
After the completion of the game, you gotta keep the blue coins, but if you keep going in and out of the tutorial area, the blue coins you have will be reduced into 1/5 of the value, which when you enter the area, it will not take it, and only take it if you get out of that area.
And here's the Review
I mean this game is not that hard, and also require more development, although it just got out at last month, there are a lot of the things need to work on, there should be more items, though the combos of the items seems fun, but there are so little of them, which force you to choose the game strategy for items instead of for your own likes. I beat the game in the first run, the rocket with the cooling and faster charge is easily to get you thorough all the levels, and the characters in the wormhole seems does not have some connection to the game backstories. I do not recommend this game, or do not recommend it at this stage, the game is fun, but as I said earlier, the game require a huge development to make the game more interesting, and provide more fun way to play with, the items need more adjustments, it seems that most of the gold item except the rocket are more or less does not has its "uniquness" such as the sniper, it has less damage, requires charge to shoot, and does not do anything after, which it is just a useless weapon compare to other gold weapons, and some blue weapons are significantly better than the other weapons, which in this case, I found that the one that requires charge and shoot only forward area(I forgot the name) is more suitable than sniper to the "gold" tier weapons, It is easy to clear a bunch of enemies in front of you, and it penetrates them, which is a very powerful weapon than weapons such as sniper in the gold tier.

i actually really like what ive seen but the translation needs a lot of work. I love the weight system and customistaion but it really needs an improvement in the clarity of descriptions and names for stats (like... what is "weapon spinning speed")

This game has potential, but is dragged down by a lot of mistranslated information and game-feel missteps. There's a huge amount that, as a player, you are left to figure out on your own and unfortunately, while the stats may be mechanical and futuristic sounding, they also tend to be somewhat confusing. Not to mention the Detailed Information overlay is kind of a mess, obscuring other parts of the HUD. Not to mention that I was unaware there were even modules or permanent enhancements that could be bought as the game *never once* pointed that out to me before I found it (well after having spent the red currency to purchase them). I imagine there's a story, but for the life of me, I'm not seeing it. Some upgrades are beyond overpowered even at level 1 and others are kind of useless (I cannot figure out that if the game punishes you for overheating your weapons with constant HP loss why you would want to do it *even faster*). I just do not get the sense that there's a clear direction here and while I do like the overall art style, this game needs a translation editor badly, it needed more time to QA and playtest, and I just cannot recommend it in its current state. There is potential here, yes. But it's just not being realized or nurtured. P.S. Yes, there is a corgi gun that shoots laser doggybiscuits. There is also a homing missile launcher that says it'll target the nearest enemy but regularly does not. Use this information however you like.

For the amount of bitching and whining going on in these reviews you'd think this game would be an unplayable mess. Absolutely not the case. It's an Early Access game from a small indie team, so of course it's going to be rough around the edges, some may even say a bit janky, but for whatever shortcomings this game has it makes up for with a core gameplay loop that is fun and addictive. There are tons of guns to unlock, crazy robot legs to run around with, load-outs to tweak and experiment with, skill synergies, secrets, challenges, varied and engaging enemies, goofy characters that may or may not steal your robot appendages - there is a lot to like here. If you're willing to look past the bugs and issues with controls (that have already received a few hot fixes at the time of writing this review) there is a very solid rogue-lite game here that has a ton of potential to be truly great. Definitely worth trying out if you're a fan of action rogue-lites and not a little pee pee baby who throws an online tantrum because they're forced to use a keyboard and mouse to play a game ON THEIR COMPUTER. This developer deserves better recognition than that.

**Since the developer responded, I'd like to add some more opinion. This game has some unique gimmicks like heavy on turning weapon around and changing parts at the beginning room. I can see why because sluggish movement and heavy weapon turns are for players to be able to feel the weight of machinery. I'd love it except the changing parts only dragging the game pace down. Also, this one is not ordinary cheaply made game and anyone can see that they've poured lots of time and efforts to make this. I will check the updates regularly to see if it's getting better. I hope I can change this review to Positive one day for their sake. **Original Review** This game is not early access but has too many bugs at this moment. Also, I'd like to point out the initial loading time is way too long. I thought it got bugged right away as soon as I clicked the "start" button. I see this has lots of inspiration from Gungeon and such but also this has bigger room than Gungeon which is bad really bad. Because of that, the game has slow pace just like or worse than Gungeon. It feels like the game is dragging you behind. I am getting refund for now and I will keep eyes on how they update the game. In the current state I cannot recommend to buy this game. Sincerely.

A decent game definitely worth the money, however there are a few bugs and problems. Some of the writing is in japanese I think though I don't know if that is intended, the game doesn't fit to the screen properly so a small portion of the screen is cut off the bottom which usually isn't really an issue unless you're talking to npc's. Also when trying to click something in the in game menus you have to click to the side of it instead of actually on the item itself. I saw another review say there is no tutorial but there is you just have to go into the room with a bulb above it to the left of where you start a run. All in all a good game and once the bugs are ironed out I think it will be one of the better roguelites on steam. Kind of feels like a discount enter the gungeon without the dodge mechanic and though the developers have obviously taken inspiration from gungeon, they've differentiated this game by making it a little slower paced and changing some mechanics such as changing your body parts and your weapons overheating.

At least for now, I can't really recommend this. The art is great, and the idea is great, and I was really looking forward to this game. Unfortunately, as it is, it feels unfinished. There's a *LOT* of missing sound effects, plenty of text that's not in English, and an overall lack of feedback in the gameplay. There's something good here, but it needs more time in the oven. Give it a few months, check back in to see if there have been any updates. This doesn't feel like a finished game, it feels like an early access with a lot of work to go. Here's hoping it gets where it needs to be.
