It's like a much harder version of Picross / nonograms.

In the same vein as nonogram, but reversed- here, you need to remove all the incorrect blocks, and some of the correct ones are only indicated by not having clues that exclude them. Also, the hints run in three dimensions, so there can be a lot of turning to get the chain reactions of logic to finally lock in. Once they do, though, it is extremely satisfying. If this seems like the type of game you might like, grab the demo and give it a try.
The only thing I wish was different is that you can't rotate the dioramas themselves; you can turn the objects individually, but they didn't extend that to the overall scenes. some of the scenes look like they would be fun from other angles. On the other hand, at least one of the workshop levels took advantage of the fixed perspective to create an Escher-esque waterway, so at least there's that. :-)

If you liked Picross 3D on the Nintendo DS, this is basically Picross 3D - which is great. Controls like a charm on mouse and keyboard (to be fair, I haven't tried gamepad controls as this is typically my "I'm going to sip coffee and play something" game), the dioramas are cute, and there is workshop support for more puzzles.

This is easily one of my favorite nonogram games I've ever played! Seeing the scenes get carved out as you puzzle on is a fun extra that makes it feel like you're working towards something. The controls are responsive and smooth, the music is beautiful, and there are sooo many levels to work on. I will definitely be getting the DLC and I look forward to playing the user made levels as well. If you're used to doing only 2D nonograms, Voxelgram really does well at easing you into a 3D format. It's hard to go back once you start playing like this!

Rather a tentative recommendation - it works well enough for what it offers, but it feels lacking compared to what I believe is its intended inspiration, Picross 3D. breaking tiles isn't really all that tactile, several times I found myself clicking something I shouldn't have or dragging a line-break one way only to break the wrong line cause it went on a different axis. And the music... on its own, it's not bad, but the way audio is handled in this game annoys me. Music just plays at all times without interruption; no breaks for swapping between the menu and gameplay; no win-jingle for solving the puzzle. Just constant. Which if you like the music? Great! If not, do what I did and put your own music on. Presumably not something the composer wants to hear, but it really feels like it was let down by whoever was handling mixing.
For what it is, it's definitely worth some of your time. It does what it sets out to do; it just won't stick in the memory after you're done. The random puzzles don't really add to things the same way an hourly challenge does in something like Pictopix. But even ignoring the DLC, there's a LOT of workshop items to work through!

Voxelgram is my favorite nonogram/picross game ever (and I've played sooooo many)! The puzzles are 3D, which literally adds a whole new dimension to your puzzling experience. There are sets of levels that make up diorama type scenes where each object is just a neutral colored box initially, and solving individual puzzles reveals the real colors and shapes of the objects in the scene. I also love the intuitive controls, relaxing music, optional hints, and workshop support for community-created levels. I really hope the dev keeps releasing more scenes as DLC because I can't get enough!
