The current climate of our world could use a good look at this videogame. Someone 'going under' on me while someone gives me 100 quivillikion money, would be more likely than the goblins running companies to stop killing their minimum wage employees with office equipment. Politics aside, pretty cool

Tl;Dr great game, worth the purchase and worth getting all the achievements for
This game is great, as One of Aggro Crabs earlier works it really sets the tone for what was to come, be it the simple yet stylized graphics, or the games overall sense of humor be it good writing or outdated memes it all works as a good package together.
The gameplay is a fun Rouge-like dungeon crawler where it allows you to pick up and use whatever's in the room as a weapon with each item having different weight and durability stats, you do eventually get into a set rythmn knowing which item is better than what and where in the 3 base dungeons they are, but throughout my playthrough i found myself using all of them to an equal degree. The dungeons themselves aren't the hardest, I had the most trouble with Styx mainly because the money mechanic sucked.
The dungeons have two phases an easy and hard mode you get later in the game, and it's a nice extra challenge. The bonus content from the working from home update was also a great addition although a bit too hard for me, resulting in me using the assist mode to beat it fully, and even with that I had to bail on some runs in the harder difficulties. But otherwise fun extra stuff to do and the costumes where a nice reward.
Finally the 100% was fun and pretty easy, it wasn't much of a grind as a full run of imposter mode gives you more than enough to buy all the skills and you'll have most of them by the end of the game anyways, the only annoying thing to do is the Rolodex, but that can be done by finding a guide and making sure you keep track of which ones you've gotten done already. Everything can be done in one playthrough and it is worth the purchase ten-fold.

i'm not normally a dungeon crawler or roguelike person, but this game is the perfect intro to such games. Since gameplay doesn't vary much in these games, their gimmicky setting is what sets them apart, and if you've been in the tech scene for too long, this game really is such a satisfying way to blow off steam by squeezing in a quick run on a weeknight because the cringy out-of-touch CEO and annoying demonic PM made you want to bash your head in that morning. Taking out frustration is also a lot more enjoyable and effective when the gameplay is challenging yet not complex, and it comes with funny dialog, good visuals, and an awesome soundtrack you'd even listen to outside of the game.

For a first game by a studio, Going Under deserves props for just how miraculously good it actually turned out. Don't get me wrong, there's a couple things here that I do think really needed some retooling, especially in regards to the clunkiness of the combat. But the story and cast are delightfully likable, and the gameplay as a whole is about as addictive as I could hope for out of a roguelike. If you want a bittersweet critique of capitalism and some fun, beat-em up gameplay, I think this is up your alley.

it's the most ''oh i know that game, it's cool''-esque game ever.
it is a roguelike with a very straightforward story and theme. the entire gimmick is modern design. if you like it, it can be funny. the jokes are alright, but again, straightforward. you are paying $5 for a nice little roguelike with a nice little gimmick.
it is not going to be your favorite game, it is not going to be your most replayable game, but it is definitely that cool game that gives you some time to kill with nice mechanics, decent combat and fun characters.

I had a solid time with this game! after Enjoying Aggro crabs colaboration game PEAK I decided to go back and play their first game and this was a solid time! over the years Rogue like/ roguelite I've learned isn't really a genre I like unless it's like a co-op experience and I was enjoying my time but I'm thankful they added difficulty scaling in terms of being able to adjust weapon duability, health from the start of the game and even invincibility frames it made me feel more comfortable playing a game that while fun wasn't my type of genre and I was still able to experience it to the full the fact it's a fantasy roguelite with a corporate job twist felt very relatable and in a way a roguelite with job themes just works well and makes sense narratively deff give it a shot even if it's not a genre that you typically enjoy!

It was on XBOX gamepass before. The reason why I got it a second time was because I wanted to revisit it when it was older and I had grown up a bit more.
This game did not disappoint me. It's charming, it's wacky, it's funny, and it somehow, in my opinion, remains relevant. it's one of my most favorite rougelites out there right now, and it will remain such for a long while.
I was really hoping for a sequel, and I'm sad it got canned. However, I still do have hope that they may revisit it one day.
Overall, it's a really cool game. Please, check it out.

I love the parody of corporate culture and capitalism - even the art style reminds me of the kind of inoffensive, bland, blocky art businesses seem to favour.
The combat is fun and chaotic, though the difficulty does spike and it becomes a bit repetitive. I'm not looking forward to trying to get all the achievements.
Smacking demon simps with gigantic aubergines is pretty fun though.
If only there was a DLC where Jackie goes on a date with Lilli.
