Despite having a layer of political commentary I wasn't expecting, and the story not having the... general lighthearted romance I figured I'd find here, it definitely gets a recommendation from me. And, it came with a pleasant bonus on install. Has Steam OS compatible files that can be run without Proton right out of the box.

Ok so this is the first Japanese whatever kind of game this is that I ever bought. Holey shiz. You people are degenerates and completely insane. How in the heck do things like this even get made? The story is insanely stupid, most of the art is just backdrops and the characters are so insipid I almost threw up. I can't even imagine what drives people to "play" "games" like this. Yikes!!

I really Like This VN game The MC chara Cheng-En Wang Suddenly Stopped His car And get out to see what it was And Low and Behold It was Cat Girl but None other than Leopard Girl She was Injured However When he Took Her in her Injury Healed. Then Pisuka Decided to Help him out By Repaying the Favor And Dressing up as Nurse. Theres Bad End Endings And Good endings To this VN Game And Apparently He Found out the Mystery Blue Haired Girl Knows the MC Somehow But Im not gonna Spoil Ending But For what its worth it was Good Game.

this game, ive bought it 2 years ago, and i played it just this week, and genuinly. its a great visual novel. it has a compelling story. the leopard girl (pisuka) is a cute character, with alot of personallity and isnt just an empty soul. this game also has its sad moments. yes i did almost cry. but genuinly, its like 4 euros. just buy it and play it. its also a pretty short game, like 5-6 hours if you just go through the game. great game

A short, sweet visual novel, with some sarcasm to Taiwan local politics. It seems like you can only enter the good end (and true end?) in the second round (I finished two bad ends first). The ending is short and seems incomplete. Plan for vol. 2?

Tl;dr has a good story, interesting main character, but bad skip function may be a deal breaker (the skip function didn't work for me, but it might work for you). Give the VN a try only if you're willing to be patient bearing in mind the inability to consistently skip old text (and a medium text speed at best when not skipping). I would certainly recommend this visual novel, though only if you're a patient reader. Without going too into detail, it details life under a Chinese dynasty (I think) while also presenting topics such as natural habitat preservation vs. industrial construction. The game follows a main protagonist from the beginning of the story but also switches character perspectives every so often to add more details (although, I feel there should be more occasions where this takes place, as I remember it only occurring once or twice throughout the VN as a whole). This VN also provides the player choices on occasion and has some bad endings, although there are also Steam achievements for each ending, and you'll need to reach at least a few of these endings in order to reach the true ending, so be open to playing out each ending. HOWEVER, one fair warning! From my personal experience, this VN has a hard time skipping past certain dialogue in comparison to what you would expect from normal VNs with a skip feature. Keep this in mind and be extra sure to save at each choice to mitigate the time spent backtracking.

It took me 4 hours to finish this visual novel. Kind of disappointed on how short it was. Sweet little story. Why the cat girl is injured in the beginning is never explained and the ending isn't satisfying. But I did still like it. Hopefully they add more content.
Review with accompanying screenshots and videos on Sinical Network
https://www.sinicalanimenetwork.com/post/2019/12/14/the-leopard-catgirl-in-miaoli-review The Leopard Catgirl in Miaoli is Erotes Studio's third visual novel release in Steam fitting into the romance and thriller genre. This novel features a male protagonist Wang Cheng-En (王承恩)in a fictitious alternate reality where the island of Taiwan is split into more than 20 different states after every town and city voted for independence. Cheng-En recently lost his job in Taipei as a pharmacist and was on his way home to Miaoli when he encountered a leopard catgirl Pisuka Riya (琵絲卡莉亞) seriously injured along the highway. Feeling sorry for her, Cheng-En brought Pisuka to his home to tend to her injuries. Pisuka is determined to repay Cheng-En to show her gratitude, and encourages Cheng-En to reopen his mother's pharmacy. As they work hard to run the business together, they develop feelings for each other. At the same time, certain forces will also work to pull them apart. Although this novel is short and can be completed in a few hours, it has a few cute and funny moments that are very enjoyable, such as when the heroine and protagonist tease each other, and the heroine has a few comical facial expressions such as cat-eyes and lateral V eyes. The game also has nice and appropriate background music for the daily routine segments, sweet romance scenes, and also thrilling segments. From the cute and attractive chibi artwork in the game title screen, and the jovial theme songs in the OP Sunny Day (晴天心願)and ED I Hate You (討厭你), this visual novel has the potential to be all in all a cute and sweet romance visual novel. There are a few cons though, the main ones are the limited outfit variety for Pisuka and the inconsistent artwork assets. An example being when Pisuka's character sprite artwork stays the same even after her fur grew in the storyline, or the background scene showing a fully-stocked pharmacy when it was supposed to be emptied out. These tend to break the immersion in the game. Lastly, the game finishes on a cliffhanger ending without ever explaining or telling anything about Mika, who is featured in the opening theme movie and the title screen, which is rather disappointing. The last point isn't a huge con, but it would be nice if this game included voice acting, especially when Pisuka is teasing the protagonist, or displaying her cute nature to make the humour stand out. Although this novel only has a few CGs, I still hope it will qualify for trading cards. At the time of this review, the soundtrack DLC hasn't been implemented properly yet. The game OST isn't available to play on Steam music player. This should be fixed soon. Overall, The Leopard Catgirl in Miaoli has the potential to have a more interesting story with a backdrop of an island split into more than twenty different city states, a monarchy state, a nation with furries, and a possible harem visual novel. At the same time, the plot and storyline as a romance and thriller together with appropriate background music means this game is still enjoyable to play and read for a couple of hours. I hope this game will have a sequel or appropriately-priced DLC to expand on the game's storyline in future. Lastly, I would also like to share that I worked to improve on the English translation for this game. I was motivated to do so for my friends in Steam, and members of my Steam group (Visual novel, JRPG, Anime) to bring a cute, funny, and enjoyable romance and thriller visual novel to an English audience. Thank you to all my friends and family members who have supported me, and to Erotes Studio for giving me the wonderful opportunity to work on the English subtitles for the game before release. I have nominated this game for the Best Game You Suck at Award in November 2020.
