It's a cool little thing but it's just like running wave shooters of levels, I mean if you get it on sale it'd be aces but is what it is.

Basically an indie KF2, that gets as fast as DOOM 2016 when you level up enough. Lots of enemy types and weapons, with more enemies and entirely new enemy types on higher difficulties. Surprisingly very solid, and has consistent free updates and a developer who really listens to the community. Very addicting progression. Highly recommended for what it is.

I immediately liked this one. It is filling a nitche I always wanted filled; Call of Duty Zombies mode tuned for single player with upgrades to earn.
So far I have only played the first game mode on the first map. I'm up to level 16. I haven't seen everything on offer yet. I suspect there are only minor deviations from everything I've seen so far.
Pros:
+ Lovely, lovely graphics
+ Shooting feels almost perfect (See Cons)
+ Earning XP and in-game money for upgrades makes you want to keep grinding for more
+ Movement and reloading can be slow and deliberate. At times it makes every moment count.
+ A nice variety of well-sculpted spooky-wooky enemies, each with their own durability and behaviors.
+ Inexpensive
Cons:
- The dark, dank environment is thick with atmosphere, and this atmosphere is smeared liberally all over your screen. Sometimes it makes things hard to see.
- The button for aiming down sights doesn't work if you press it too soon after reloading. Call of Duty's controls are so flawlessly responsive it makes you miss them when a game like this is close but just misses the mark.
- It is not always obvious when a monster has started gnawing on your leg. Some improvements to sound design could help this (and maybe not quite so much atmosphere).

I had a lot of fun with it. Aiming takes a sec to get the feel, but is uniquely fun once you do. Most of the negative reviews didn't even bother to play it for more than 30-60 minutes or just complained that they died. The real fun comes when you have some upgraded gear and play on RIP.
Also make sure you put the effects setting on High so you can see the invisible dudes refraction. Below that setting they are totally invisible. (I had no problems on my 11yr old potato pc.)

It's not bad but theres a serious problem when a game doesn't let you rebind mouse keys. I don't know how it can be 2020 and developers still don't know how to do this.

Project RIP has alot of potential to become a new contender against the classic Call of Duty: Zombies mode.
The game's graphics are far from lousy; in fact, the exact opposite. From a developer whom I haven't heard from before, I am VERY pleased to see an indie dev put so much effort into a horror-FPS game.
The detail is incredible, and although some events are still under construction (such as one screen under the mods/power-ups tab, that says "Something Something Something Something."
The gameplay is enjoyable, although there should be an implemented cancel-reload button, because the base shotgun is anything but useful while meandering away from giant zombies. All in all... Id give it a solid 7/10 so far. I would recommend it, even in it's current form. The minute details that detract from the experience are far minimalized by the gorgeous scenery, character model detailing, weapon selections, and advancement in rank, class, and extra perks, such as faster reloading speed, and increased damage.
Here's a 30-minute video detailing my initial experience playing this game. I hope it positively sways your opinion of this game! :-)

This is a good game, good if you want to kill monsters. No story, level up yourself and weapons. The graphics are well done and very smooth on my rig, max settings @ 2560 x 1440p, 120+ fps. I'm having fun with the game so far and I think you will too.
P.S. Great background music fits well with killing shyt...

EDIT: I bought this game day 1, it was garbage. Waited 2 years to play it, still garbage and after waiting another 2 years to try this game - 06/05/23 the game has had some work done on it. 2 updates if I can remember right and I have a new pc. Has this changed my opinion on the game? NO. No it has not. In fact it has only solidified my opinion. The devs legit do not care about the game in the slightest. All they want is money.
What is wrong with the game (UPDATED 2023)
⚫You still move at the speed of a snail when not "running" < like come on.... are you guys delusional. Master Chief weighs 287 pounds (130kg) without armour and with armour he is 1000 pounds (450kg) and can "RUN-WALK" faster than the stupid sprint you get.
⚫The aiming is borderline ATROCIOUS. What dimwit made it the slowest aiming in the world.
⚫ The maps are generic. No soul, love or life put behind the design of the maps AT ALL. It feels like a cheap knockoff game.
⚫You get these GENERIC pickups which are just simple copy and paste floating CRAPPY buffs on the floor like armour, ammo and extra damage... hmmm does this remind anyone of an actual good game? Doom perhaps.
⚫You start with a shotgun, pistol and knife. Right ok, i have 3 weapons... but guess what, the shotgun is so FU**ING inconsistent. Point blank shot to the body and it DEALS 3 DAMAGE?!?!?!?!?!
⚫ VERY bad support from the DEVS. Game feels hollow, empty and abandoned. Playing alone makes me want to jump off a bridge.
⚫To read the "Terms of service" and the "user agreement" you click on the little tabs and it opens up a BROWSER page for you to read. How pathetically lazy.
⚫It wiped ALL my data for not playing it for 2 years. Thank you. No, really, thank you.
⚫The soundtrack is garbage. If I want "METAL" ill go listen to the DOOM soundtrack.
My Verdict
The game has not changed AT ALL since I bought it in 2019, halloween. The devs do not care about US, the players or the game in the slightest. Plenty of forums asking them to fix issues and what is their reply? Nothing. Nada. Sweet FA. This is a cheap attempt at a cash grab.
PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID AND BUY THIS
I like the game, but it feels like an early access, not what a release should be.
Here is my take on Project RIP.
Pros:
- good graphics and well optimized engine with lot of options (runs well on my toaster, surprising!)
- interesting progression system that makes the game engaging
- music is great and matches the ambiance of the game
Cons:
- shitty hitbox, like seriously, the basic shootgun, pointblank in the head misses half of the time, WTF?!
- bad visibility, I was cornered and 2 enemies was on me, and because it was too dark (dispite having increased gamma in the options) I could do nothing, and that happens a lot
- enemies when they are on you, you CAN'T SEE THEM:
there are 2 stories about that:
- "I was on the second map, and took constant damage, but didn't find where the enemy was, and I lost because of that" -> I discovered that one enemy is invisible until you shoot it...but because it makes no sound, you have no idea until you hit it at random)
- enemies are tiny compared to you, when they are on you, it's like they try to give you a blow job or something!
- getting stuck in the environment (especially in the first map, but also on stairs in second map, with nothing to block me as far as I could see, died that way...)
- no attack sound cue (you never know if there is something behind you)
- no spawn sound cue
- looking around for the last enemy, damn, could we have indication on screen or something?
- always short on ammo, and the pickups appear randomly. no luck? = no ammo!
- only 3 maps, and only the first one is good (despite too much mist)
Well, not good at the current state.
I'll not refund it, and want to give the devs a chance, because it is very promising.
If the state of the game changes, I'll update my review.

Do you play deadhunt?
Do you want a game that plays just like that, but with killing floor maps, call of duty weapons, and call of duty progression?
Do you want leaderboards, and single player?
Are you the type of person that appreciates slow reloads?
Then this is the game for you.
