Fantastic! The characters are so adorable, not to mention the perfect BGM and charming story. Looking forward to trading cards and profile backgrounds of Hanaby.

Another cute platformer, second part of the Hanaby games. Keep noted you dont have to play in order to understand them as it serves no connections with the first game nor any reference.

Yeah, that was a pretty decent sequel. It's more of the same (Ameagari No Hanabi), but with a different story and setting, which is fine by me. Music by AAAA is still really good, the artwork is really nice, the gameplay is the same fun thing, just more of it.

This game is the sequel to Ameagari no Hanaby; both this game and the previous are so adorable! I really love the stages and characters! Very charming story with lots of fireworks to launch! If you are looking to play something relaxing and heartwarming, I recommend this game!

A short, cutesy platformer, same as the first game, not much else to say besides that since it's not worse In fact the flow is pretty similar in terms of level difficulty and even level objectives, not that that's a bad thing. The music is just as good if not better, and the stage and background art is definitely better. Gameplay-wise it's pretty much the same but it's easier to get money and there's a bit more variety in the fireworks. It's like a Sausage, Scrambled Egg, and Toast breakfast compared to a Sausage, Eggs Over Medium, and Toast breakfast.

A cute little gem, just like Ameagari no Hanaby (this game being the sequel, so try Ameagari no Hanaby before if you have the money to spare!) but with added fireworks, worlds and naturally, the story. The difficulty got a bump too! But for the good, given the first game was a tad too easy on the first run. As usual, the NPCs are charming to interact with, the world is vibrant and music appealing. My only complaint is how short it is, but quality over quantity is best!

A good sequel that expands gameplay and art direction. Was fan of the logic puzzles. Only complaint is that the character auto walks or slips off platforms at times.

very short and silly game with an idiot plot (my favourite!!!) 17/10 would solve logic gates again!!

amazing art style with a lot of Personality and fun and relaxing gameplay but maybe a little expensive but still fun and worth the money in my opinion

The first game in the series, Ameagari no Hanaby, was already one of my favorites, so a lot of what I said for that one applies here too. Witch is very similar to the first game overall: 8 worlds to explore, 15 max hearts, 300 stars. One difference though is the number of fireworks you can get. It's been bumped up from 8 to 15, and along with other tweaks like the improved aiming reticle of skyrockets and the new menu that lets you order fireworks, pyrotechnic squirrels have never had it better. Compared to the first game, Witch is still an easy platformer, but some attacks actually do more than 1 damage on the first round, which is an improvement. There are other changes that up the difficulty too, like
the gauntlet of Rainy Studio bosses with no checkpoints in world 8.
The art is cute as always, and has been more refined. I don't think the OST has any tracks as catchy or memorable as candy clouds or humidica from the first game, but it's still good. The story (now that it's been translated!) is simple but charming, and I really like the backstories of
Alice, Bob, and Chris/Cross
. The 8 worlds are excellent and sport some unique concepts, like the card puzzles starting in world 2, the peridot collecting in world 5, and the Christmas-themed everything in world 7 (also meeting with
santa
at the end of that world is hilarious). Overall, if you liked (or were obsessed) with the first game, then Hanaby the Witch is a fantastic sequel. If I had one complaint, it would be that the sequel doesn't take enough risks to change up the formula. Thankfully the 3rd game in the series would later come along in 2021 to fix that. *For newcomers to the series* I'd only recommend this game (and the first one) if you think you'll replay it. A blind playthrough of Witch takes around 2 hours, and if you're not going to replay it then the playtime-money ratio isn't good at all. Replaying consists of doing the rounds (round 2 = 2x damage, round 3 = 3x damage, and so on) or maybe trying speedrun mode. I'd also recommend starting with the first game, but Witch can be played as a standalone game too. There's no demo available for Witch, but there is one for Ameagari.
