Ionia, a short but delightful journey with tremendous potential.
This game is gorgeous, both visuals and sound/music! I'm fairly new to VR but the world of Ionia makes me want to keep coming back for more. I have always been a fan of fantasy, nature, and music so this feels like it was practically made for me. The way music and musical instruments are integrated into the world is breathtaking, from animals with saxophone-like snouts to playable instruments used to solve puzzles. There is also a fun system for climbing vines and ledges to organically traverse the world.
The only real downside to the game is its length. I finished it in about 90 minutes going at a relaxed pace and experiencing it to the fullest. However this is only a problem because I was enjoying myself so much that I didn't want to stop. It very much feels like a part one or an introduction to what I hope becomes a grand adventure.
I plan to revisit Ionia whenever I need to relax with a beautiful experience and I look forward to future expansions to the game and franchise!

Barely made it 20 minutes in without experiencing countless technical issues, sound becoming out of sync, inconsistency to controls, and having zero clue how to progress. Unintuitive and janky to control. Would have felt like a dated VR experience in 2016.
Visuals, environments, and sound design are well thought out but this kind of technical experience is inexcusable. Feels unfinished.

Really poor experience (because it is not a game).
Bad animations, only teleportation, sound cut suddenly...avoid

The owner of this game talked at my school about creating games that focus on a slow pace positive experience instead of entertainment designed to bombard you with dopamine dumps. I missed out on a free copy but my sister just got a VR headset and I'm glad we gave it a try! This is like my 3rd VR game ever but I liked looking around and exploring, really really beautiful. And Rob Irwin from Crikey is on a big screen at the end. So sweet that you donate to animals. One of my only comments is, why can you touch and move some plants and not others? I was able to slide to a few places I don't think I was supposed to go.

Ok, I got some mixed feelings about this.
I had the game in the wishlist for quite some time, it delivers what was shown in the trailers, it's trully beautiful.
The scenary, at least, the character are ugly AF.
Although the game is great looking, it has some huge design flaws that are hard to digest, like when I had to start the game all over just because I wanted to change the volume of it.
The movement feels like from an early 2016 vr game, it's like the devs never played VR before.... really, it bugs me how awful the controls are.
The puzzles were getting better but I had enough when I dropped from a ladder and the character started falling endlesly.
Did they play test this thing?? I faced a lot of game breaking bugs and I played for half an hour. Sadly, refunded.
Even though it's cheap, it's not worth it in it's current state.

What a beautiful journey! I love the design of this game, the breathtakingly gorgeous environment, mysterious colorful aliens and glowing life forms. The music tracks are absolutely stunning! I played this game with my kids watching the screen, they got really absorbed in the story! It's such a fun and friendly game! It's also great that the players get to participate in the fight to protect wildlife with the "Wildlife Warriors". All the best to the Rotu Entertainment and team "Ionia". I'll look forward to their future releases.

Just no.
Just using the main menu by hand was a bad sign.
You cant add free movement as an after thought.
This will just cause getting stuck for no reason because you have to teleport to a specific point to continue.
Everything the game has to offer is immersion breaking which is sad because the trailer looked really promising.
Performance is horrible.

People who are new to VR will probably like this "game", I think it would be a good introduction to VR.
But as a person who has a lot of hours in VR, I didn't enjoy the game. It feels more like a movie than a game.
The game mechanics feels off, and the puzzles are way too easy.
The game is about 1 hour long.
I barely got into the story before it was over.
The game's strong suit is the environment,( it's really beautiful) which is done really well.
But the locomotion option (tp only atm) does not allow you to really enjoy the environment which is a shame . I like what the devs are going for here but I was still left disappointed.

Looks like this game has a great designers, but modeling is outdated and looks really bad. Bindings are terrible. Move tumbstick to the left - and you'll turn to the right. Inverted snapturns? Rly? You can turn on locomotion in settings, but if you do so - there is no way you can make first step into tutorial. That requires tp, that you just turnd off in menu before. Speaking of menu. You can't acces menu in game by defaul bindings. Only restart the game. And if you open steam menu while ingame - your controllers start to continiously vibrate. Maybe this bugfest is only for WMR - idk, check yourself. So many bugs for 10 minutes of play. I'm done. This game should've been delayed for a few months or been in "early acces" status.
