Hrs played at the time of review: 50.7 Bought the game on sale and then immediately bought a second copy for my friend as I loved it so much. The game can be frustrating at first, there are random events that can alter your game completely. However, once you understand how all the different parts of the game affect one another the challenge becomes much more enjoyable. There is a lot of dialogue which can get a bit repetitive as if you play enough you can guess the rewards you’ll get from going through certain dialogues. The challenge is really when you’re assigning tasks and you have to be sure to do the right one. Would love a dlc that has more challenges or characters as I’ve played through all of them. I also love the really endearing artwork. If you want a calm game to focus on that you play over and over I really recommend it.

I got thoroughly addicted to this game after firing it up for the first time. It takes a little to get your head around it and what to do so it is a little bit slow at the start. Its kinda hard to explain it, the story is really interesting and you can actually complete it and save your people, (help may not come tomorrow but it WILL come) thats kinda the point. Its just not likely you'll get it on your first or even second playthrough because it is quite challenging. It takes a bit of trial and error to understand what you need to focus on, there are three scenarios as well so if you go random each time you won't really know what to prepare for once you understand what each scenario brings you. I managed to get an ending on all three of the scenarios and saved all my people each time. You have to keep your people alive while working on a solution to get help. You must fight against wildlife, landscape, weather and dangerous people. I won't go much more into it as I believe if you like the look of it, just get it and give it a try. It was a small team that made this game, so I am truly quite impressed.

Absolutely wonderuful, intriguing, intricate and very unforgiving game full of difficult choices, wonderful upgrades and thrilling resource management. At first, the amount of stuff to learn may seem to be a bit too overwhelming, but after getting to grips with the basics, the aventure is truly stellar! :) 10/10 - fully recommended! :)

This game is about taking risks and gambling with the survivor's lives. I became very attached to the character's and their story.
