CarX Street's handling is atrocious. Twenty minutes was more than enough. The racing lines and braking indicators are completely off, and every car feels like a dragster with two bicycle wheels on the front. Forget about taking any corner without slowing to a walking pace or tuning your car into a drift build. The available car selection is tiny; I couldn't find any of my three real-life cars, and even if I could, they'd almost certainly be locked behind paid, janky DLC. A complete waste of time.

I bought the game knowing it would be somewhat bad because all games at the start suck, but this game especially the start is horrible. Its incredibly hard to get better upgrades because you need to level up to get better ones. And the AI absolutely sucks in races. Its like they don't have eyes and they only know the track because they ram into you a lot, especially if your in their line which isn't even the fastest line in pretty much every track. Braking distance also doesn't really make sense in this game, because every time you restart a race your tires get worn out and you have to adjust which is hard. Another thing about the AI is that every time they crash into a car, they're completely fine, they stay straight and they don't lose much speed, but when you do, you lose all your speed and your car makes a new world record for 360s. From my 3.4 hours of playing this game, I would not recommend this to other people coming from other popular games like Forza. Instead of buying this game I would get Assetto Corsa, which I would've gotten but I didn't know it was better. The customization in this game is great tho, better than Forza, except the colors.

The game is a 4/10 but the awful controls make it even worse. Do not buy this game,

They have now fixed it! The AI are no longer glued to the road, you can now ram them, and they can't ram you as easily anymore.
When you change the engine, you have to repurchase the previous one you don't keep them, and all your upgraded parts disappear, even if you buy the same engine again all the parts are gone. You should keep the parts and engine, you wouldn't throw them away IRL. And you can't save tunes or setups for the car.
There’s also poor optimization on my main PC (i7-9700K, RTX 2080 Super, 16GB RAM). I get decent FPS, but on my laptop (Ryzen-7 5800H, RTX 3070, 16GB RAM), I can hit around 100 FPS when standing still, but when I move it fluctuates from 42-91 FPS.
What's good? I like the handling of the cars, the map is good 7.8/10, The graphics are pretty good. Car sounds are not good but thats same with CarX Drift, atleast they match a bit of the real car. The follow camera is pretty good, they should add a slider to reduce camera shake.

The game has its moments where its genuinely fun, especially in the beginning, however the physics in this game are absolutely terrible. Almost every car feels extremely understeer-y, most cars seem to have an issue passing 180 (which will be important later), the traffic ai are GTA 5 levels of aggressive (especially the damn semi's) and if your car is one of those few vehicles like the EG hatch, which was AWD swapped, and doesnt seem to understeer and drive like a dream, your car is most likely limited to a very low top speed. The tuning does help quite a bit, but no amount of tuning seems to get rid of the understeer feeling most cars get. And then theres this race with a G wagon.... Oh my god...
I was driving a 70 something porsche, which made pretty good power and helped me get pretty far in the game without too much trouble. This G wagon though? Bro. This guy must have Elon on speed dial because this damn thing had a rocket strapped to its ass, and the suspension was tuned and modified by a top f1 team, because this god damned thing flew! I mean there was no hope for my little porsche to even hope to compete, yet oddly enough the game thinks this is a suitable rival for me. Let me put it to you this way, I crashed that sumbitch into an apartment complex, an oncoming semi, a construction site, several bus stops, and a parking garage, and this bastard still kept coming! Not just coming, HE WAS GAINING!! This G wagon was like the juggernaut of cars! HE FLIPPED THE SEMI!!! HE FLIPPED IT LIKE IT WAS NOTHING AND IT HARDLY SLOWED HIM DOWN!!! WTF!?
Oh did i also forget to mention most races in the city are largely straight aways? Did I also forget to mention the ai seem to have no trouble flying past 200mph while your stuck at 180 in some of the lower level classes? Also multiple people mentioned the mass of the ai drivers seeming almost infinite? Well, thats partly true. You can still crash the ai, as observed in the above paragraph when I raced the literal fucking terminator trying to catch john conner (me...). It absolutely WILL become necessary later on, however you run the risk of understeering into a traffic cone at 45mph and sending your car into the stratosphere. That happened to me more times than I care to count.
this was basically my experience in a nutshell. You want a good and fair arcade racing game? Get Tokyo extreme racer.
I will say this though, the game has probably some of the best customization I've seen in recent memory. Still doesn't help the game with its awful physics. Another pro about this game is that the traffic doesnt seem to discriminate. These motherfuckers are out for blood, it doesn't matter who's, as long as they get their fill, which leads to the AI sometimes feeling the wrath of a 5 ton semi in a head on collision.
TLDR; game physics ass, cars understeer-y, traffic AI super aggressive, G wagon driven by the literal devil himself

love the game its the best race game ive played in ten years! the massive let down is spending gold coins on engine swaps and not being able to pick and choose your engines when you wanna up class are down class, the fact that you have to use gold coin to purchase parts for the engine and then lose every single part when you switch engines is a massive let down! let us keep the engine with parts and just charge me 20k are something too switch out my 20 hour engine ive built grinding gold coins because the gold coin grind is too much! at least balance the gold coin payout its far too low, ive played 100 hours up to now and love the game purchased all dlc but this issue with not keeping my engines to the spec they was and having to re purchase everything with gold coins if i decide i dont like the setup is pulling me away from playing the game.

The game itself is great and the devs are actively developing and fixing issues and adjusting the economy of the game. Which itself, is a great display of dedication and fan service. HOWEVER! I cannot f*cking get over the fact that the AI is just stupidly broken and made to just be unbeatable most of the time. On top of the fact that the traffic spawns and vehicle physics in a crash are also made in such a way to annoy the player. Just get to the Western Sierra Elite Races and you'll know what I'm talking about. :)
So unless the devs adjust the difficulty and traffic in such a way to not screw over to the player or have unfair advantages through rubber banding and bull sh!t difficulty levels, I cannot recommend this game. Like sure, in every other aspect, for what it is and how much it costs, you could consider it. But if you're like me and just wanna get through the SP content and maybe race online here and there and find randoms to tandem with, all just to chill and relax ... then you're far better off just grabbing any other racing game because this will totally flip you off.
EDIT - So I managed to find a new level of blatantly padding out gameplay by ways of unfair AI, traffic spawns and BS crash physics. Arctic Outlaws are a C4 club that are annoying through and through. I've wasted over 2,000 Speed Coins building different cars, inspired from several different guides ( No, I'm not THAT big of a car nerd. Go figure. ) and even attempting to understand the fine tuning on my own with the NEWLY ADDED TOOLTIPS! The club has cars that should either be outside the reach of the class itself, like Civics, or severely overpowered ... station wagons *Vomits*. I'm almost at my second week trying to beat this damn club. CXT, fix your goddamn game. Sincerely, a disgruntled fan. PS - To those sweats and tryhards that would respond with getting better, get more skill, "Skill issue". You guys are just brainless, jobless redneck mutant troglodytes. Either help the rest out with comprehensive guides or keep your keyboards silent.

Great game but too many paid DLCs. I didn't expect every new update would be a paid DLC since I've already paid for the game and also purchased the two previous DLCs cmon guys you can do better than that.
