After recent updates this game has turned into IRS Simulator with Hail Damage. Oh you tapped a tree in your van, and it did no damage? That'll be $6000. No longer a fun game, now they're saying "suffer fuckers, and give us MORE money."

Every storm chaser's dream comes true! I've played a lot of hours in OUTBRK and can confidently say that is one of the most immersive and original experiences I've had. If you're passionate about meteorology, storms, and tornadoes, and want something beyond the classic arcade simulator, this game will captivate you, even though it's still in early access at the time of this review.

This game has real potential. It does the hard part for you - you're dropped in proximity to the tornadic storm rather than having to start in the morning/the night before looking at more complicated products to figure out where a tornado is likely to form in the afternoon and then driving hundreds of miles to get there. That's good because that part would make for a very boring video game. I'd like to see a few extra products available in the in-game radar, namely storm-relative velocity and vertically-integrated liquid. The beginning car is going to frustrate because the fuel tank is about the size of a tea cup. I often have to gas up twice in one local chase. Usually I'm pushing empty after I catch the first tornado, and then I have to get out of position to go to a gas station and may or may not be able to get back in time to intercept another one. Still some graphical oddities - from time to time the high level clouds change to a bullseye-looking concentric ring thing that looks like an alien invasion is about to happen. Still, for early access it's pretty good. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.

online play is 50/50, either you get a good server or you don't. However, in solo mode you will be able to see how the game functions and it does respond well, graphics are good and the tornadoes look like real tornadoes. Overall good but online play could be better

The game is good for where it is in development, my biggest turn off about this game is you're forced to go into open multiplayer lobbies if you want to progress or play with friends. There is a solo option but you don't really earn anything from it. So far for me it is still a waste of my time and money seeing as I am still in the same position as if I'm playing for the first time.

Great concept that falls short on delivering a fun gaming experience. POSITIVES: The game looks good. Models, maps, and radar screens are nice. Controls are mostly sensible. The concept itself is exciting and interesting....in that real life sciency way. The audio for the storms can be very good. The actual storm/radar map reading part is great. I'm only 10 hours in on this game and can regularly first spot in a lobby of veterans. NEGATIVES: WAY too expensive!!! I feel ripped off at $30 bucks US. You will spend 70%+ of your time in the vehicle in this game. The driving and views are scuffed. Some roads are elevated and WHEN the janky steering takes you off, you are frequently screwed with terrain blocking the path back to the road. This is 2025, there is ZERO excuse for poor driving mechanics in a game of this cost. Seriously, one of the worst driving experiences in any game, let alone one where you spend the majority of the game in a vehicle. The vehicle handling, braking, steering, accelerating...all horrible and not even close to an actual vehicles physics. The view from inside the vehicle is just STUPID. I can see out of an IRL car better than the views I am getting inside of a GAME. Why? Multiplayer is unstable. I get dropped in multi-player lobbies, and when my wife and I play together, inevitably one of the two of us will get dropped. Happens way too frequently. The lightening. I'm sorry, but the lightening graphics in this game simply looks like the dev gave up.

Yep, this is the ONE. The best tornado chasing game on the market. The radar and weather models in this game are pretty damn accurate to real world tornados and storms. In other games where radar is meh.. this one is robust with many different tools like levels of wind speed at different altitudes. Always keep an eye out for that doppler signature hook. The graphics are great (mainly on the clouds and weather, the MOST important part) and dont feel as barebones as others. Theres an in game economy and yeah, its gonna take a while to earn some money. But once you get it, you can catch a tornado everytime. Very impressed with this and hope to see even more types of tornados added and maybe more modes. Definitely the BEST one!!! EDIT: from what I understand by being in the Discord, there are over 120 different "scenarios" built upon real life tornado spawning storm systems. The game cycles randomly through these scenarios each chase. The game is not actually "randomly" spawning tornados. That is what makes this game so effective and realistic and its also why following real life information about weather systems pays off here... because its REAL SIMULATED weather, not a model or emergent algorithm like I first thought. With over 120 different scenarios (and more being added) its going to be a while before you ever notice a repeat scenario. Just some neat trivia about whats going on behind the scenes in the programming of this game. Great team of devs and friendly community.

How a game like this is listed for $44.99 (CAD) is beyond me. It basically has 0 content, constantly stutters and has terrible performance (I have a 4070 TI super). This game is not anywhere near worth the asking price.
