I was honestly really on the fence with this game sometimes. The pixel art is beautiful, and compliments well with a rudimentary yet satisfying game play loop and central mechanic. The story isn't anything to write home about, as you can expect most of your enjoyment out of the game play and sprinkle of humor throughout. Now in terms of flaws, there are a bit more than would have been preferred. The most glaring ones being quality of life issues: lack of menu map, backtracking, limited inventory space, enemy concentration in certain areas being a bit much, late game advanced customizable pieces not respawning (this is very important to know because if you are not the most ecstatic to "git gud", these items are make or break in the late game and losing them forever sucks), and the occasional item duplication when bumping into a crow with a hat. The most glaring flaw in my personal opinion was the backtracking, which constituted a lot of my time. I could see the place of it from a design perspective, just know this if that isn't your thing. flaws aside but the experience was still a fine romp nonetheless. I wish the devs the best on future prospects and hope more can enjoy this little gem!
