Linear left mouse button holding simulator.
I guess if you're réally bored at some point... The writing is awful, and the game takes itself way too seriously. After taking damage, you get hit with annoying visual and audio distortion—for way too long.
The gameplay is just scan → vacuum → throw. In that exact order. Every. Single. Time.

A relaxing explorer game, that feels like an open world even when it's not. Lovely characters and voice acting, good soundtrack and one interesting planet to eplore!
Took me ~5 hours to complete so full price is a bit meh.
Game itself isn't that challenging.
Puzzles are just enough so you won't get stuck and ragequit and you won't really die in this game.

Not the longest game, and it doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it's aesthetically pleasing and a fun trip while it lasts. Plus, I liked the voice acting. They had depth of emotion and a great chemistry.
If you want a nice refreshing change from all of those overly long games, this will be perfect and it's a chill ride. :)

For most of my play through "The Gunk," I was pretty happy with it. But, as I neared the last part of the game, things changed. Before I get to that, though, let me start with the positives. It's a well-produced game that's mostly fun and fairly easy. I'd classify it as an Adventure game.
Now for the negatives: First, the current list price of almost $25 is too high. It took me 12.6 hours to complete with 100% Achievements. By my dollar-per-hour metric, I'd say the game should be priced at about half what it's currently listed as. But, keep an eye out for sales. I bought it in a Bundle on Steam for roughly $1.30 (plus another $1.11 for the other game). At that price, regardless of what I have to say below, the game is absolutely worth it.
Second, the main (our) character sounds and acts like a 12-year-old. There's no way she's that young, but what she says and does really irritates me.
Third, as the end of the game draws nearer, the environmental MESSAGE the game is based on becomes about a subtle as a 2 x 4 across the forehead. They really should have toned that down.
Fourth, as the game gets closer to the end, the personal melodrama just becomes gag-worthy. And, it goes on and on. There's one segment of gameplay that's basically wandering-through-the wilderness doing nothing but listening to the main character cry about her personal problems for 20 minutes. Ugh.
Fifth, the progression of the game is really irritating. The first half is fine. But, for the last half, I was sure that every mission was going to be the last. I felt like I was running in place instead of progressing towards the goal.
Sixth, the situation after the ending is the stupidest thing I've ever seen.
They rescue an entire race and their planet from death. But, they leave with nothing. No reward. No home as the savior of the race. No trade agreement. No cargo hold filled with trade goods. Not even samples of the plants which produce metals, fibers, organics, or even light. They should be rich, not impoverished.
And, finally, there are a few instances of swearing that are completely unnecessary. Trivial, but if the developers were spending the amount of time and money they did on the game, they could have replaced a word or two to avoid that.
I guess that'll do. I've got another handful of minor gripes, but that's the stuff that comes to mind. So, I'm Not Recommending the game. But, if it goes on sale for the kind of price I paid for it, I guess I'd still recommend buying it. A lot of game-forgiveness can be bought for that kind of price.

Short and sweet game. The story was alright, but I really liked Rani and Becky’s banter 😅 gave me flashbacks of arguing with my big brother in the best way. It felt fun and familiar like me and my brother fighting over the remote and who's always right. Miss and love you, my stupid fat brother!
If you're into adventures, platforms, and fun lil puzzles this is a nice game. The combat was very very minimal and easy, it's really more of an exploration kind of game. The camera movement was just a little nah but it was okay.

Children's fantasy about friends flying on a ship to an unknown planet in search of treasures in the form of energy. The flora in the game is magnificent. The game is linear, but throughout the passage we will be haunted by secret places in the form of additional bonuses for improvements.
Bad review for the Chinese translation team, who translate "beauty" into "beautiful woman". Your top priority is to find a professional translation team, not the kind of translation team that has never attended school and keep thinking with d**k like this one.

The Gunk is a fun and relaxing game. It’s not very deep but cleaning up the world and exploring is enjoyable. A good pick if you want something easygoing.
P.S.: I noticed serious FPS issues when going through the large elevator.
