A magnificent Match 3 game much along the lines of the Treasures of Montezuma series only a bit more polished. 40 Genres / 40 Top Tens - Enjoy!

Have played through several times now. Looks good at 4k even though its a older game. Hope the developer makes similar titles in the future.

Wow, I only started and already love the game! Finally (!!!) someone cared and made a game with sense and love for gems, jewels, magic and for match-3 games! So far it answers all my complaints and requests I had for this type of games. I can't recommend it enough. Thank you guys!! I hope the game will be a success. The design and graphics are awesome, the style is excellent, the swiftness, smoothness and dynamic is perfect. It has attracting action and great feel. I will write more once I get to know better with the game. So far the only negative I can think of is I lack some more story and the speed is even too quick to enjoy all the beauty. More mystery puzzles and metaphysics wisdom might be needed. Update: Yes, the hype of the starting impression was high. It felt like there will be great story and magic etc. Yet it was not there. It seems to promise more than it gives. In the end it's only and only rush match-3 action and nothing more. It's so quick you cannot even notice how it really works. Explanations are missing and in fact unimportant. All the magic can be ignored as it is automatic. And that's the problem. It becomes raw, too simple gameplay, boring, simple-minded, poor. The fun is only in the huge action of explosions, otherwise it's missing. I even finished the basic mode in a couple of hours. This game is proof that even the best creators need feedback and fine-tuning of the concept. I am afraid if I will ever see a true match-3 masterpiece in my lifetime. This one was so promising yet it became somewhat barebone. What is missing: the magic should be part of the game and not something that happens without the player, by automat, without even noticing it and without needing to really work for it. It should be slower and more of a mystery alchemy puzzle but not too much of a puzzle, more something like opening hidden doors and treasure chests, like alchemy laboratory, and mainly something that would call you to go further and play more. Add even metaphysical/philosophical ideas. The way the game is it looks all the same all the time, it's only the raw core matching, very narrow task to fulfill. Warning: this should be unique, not like other games. I can imagine twenty wrong ways how to understand my words and how to screw the game. Ask me if it is unclear, I will be glad to help. Putting in stupid heroes pictures and stupid story in, in the cliche sense, would screw it. Same if you turned it into real puzzle, that would be wrong as well. It should feel really like alchemy, opening treasure rooms or similar. ... oh yes! here is a hint: the gems look so valuable but then they have very little meaning - put some meaning to the beautiful gems, make some gems special, make it not only feel great but really be precious and great - make the player create more beautiful gems that will do special things and open new areas and magic. the more shiny and complicated, the more important, capable and valuable the gems should be. Right now all seem very valuable but they are not. Study a bit of real alchemy and metaphysics. Make the story about something important, about the metaphysics of the universe and saving the world or nation or order of things or similar. Also the music was disappointment. It was great just like the graphics, but just like the graphics, even the music is only promising something that it doesn't deliver in the end. Together with the fight becoming more serious and dramatic, together with progressing the story, it should change. Also when player achieves some elevated escalated situation the music should change. How it should change? When things get important, the music should unveil its melody, get to the peak of the song - tune the melody peak with the gameplay peak and it will deliver amazing experience that will be hard to forget and easy to love. Really, this is very important. Do not just make the music quicker or more dramatic, instead make the music unveil its melody peak, if you understand what I mean. Like with a movie. ...in this game you only play beginnings of songs that never continue never unveil the full mellody and that is wrong, it's only teasing and never delivering and becomes repetitive. Don't be scroogy to pay for real melodies. The quality and style is perfect, just take the step further to deliver whole melodies in the style and quality. The programming and the code is brilliant. I see that finally someone created a perfect simple lightweight code that works smoothly and should get really appreciated and praised. Unique, awesome! Thank you. Deserves more appreciation. Usually programmers use premade stuff and put together lazy big codes that do not work well together. This one seems so clean, seems made out of scratch and without unnecessary commands and complications. Pity it wasn't used better. The style and quality of the game is outstanding, legendary. But the game itself suffers boredome and lack of story, content, mystery and peaks with melodies. Do not give up. Please: since you made so good piece, do not let it rot, use what you made to create a sequel and play with what I suggested - add more features, songs, magic, explanations... use my advice. ;-) Thanks for reading, developers. Your game is special, don't waste it, make more from it. You are on great track yet success asks for perfect combinations and perfection. Some projects fail because one aspect doesn't click, it's normal. Find the missing pieces and make this legend shine and win the world. This one has more potential than any other. Technically and by style/design/quality you are already there.

The game comes to a hard stop in advanced mode in the first boss table. You need 56 points to pass it, but you will score at best 53. I ran that table about 35 times. Also, due to the timer being only a few minutes per table, you can't just enjoy the game. You are hard-pressed to speed run every table. The most annoying table is Niflhein table, wear your blocks that you need are constantly frozen. In advanced mode, this brings the game to a halt. Waste of money.

First impressions are good. I tend to find that there are two kinds of match-three games, the twitch kind and the thoughtful kind. This is of the twitch variety, and I am enjoying it. There is the standard field of gems, of a variety of colors of course, but some gems are runes, which you are trying to collect. In addition some become power-ups, but are still color specific. You can, for example, make a match with a rune, a regular gem and a power-up. Between rounds you can buy upgrades, which gives collecting specific colors a value as well, red is fireballs, green adds time, etc. Some levels are basic, collect a lot of rune, others have secondary tasks to earn extra coins to help you buy more upgrades. These vary, and so far are pretty interesting. It has some fluff, a backstory where you are trying to collect the resources to save your world from attack. There seem to be a lot of levels, and a lot of game, it all adds up to a fun game so far! ADDENDUM: 5.7 hours playtime from start to finish of the basic levels. Two more difficulty levels, not sure if the game is interesting enough to go much further though. Still, that's a fair amount of game, seems to me.

Looked interesting. Especially liked the idea of a special icon (rune) having to be included in the match as I haven't seen that before. Tried it. Played on advanced mode. The game kept telling me which moves to make. On advanced mode. Why? What is the point of playing a game where it tells you what to do? On top of that, no explanation for how the energy for the runes work. Is it because I found that many special icons (runes)... umm.... can't be because suddenly I am looking for 20 but I didn't achieve the first two amounts (13 or !6). And still it continues to tell me what moves to make. Seriously??? Am returning it.

This is your standard "match3" game (moving tile to align 3+ tiles-kind) - made with Unity. Game play wise, it's very similar to Treasures Of Montezuma (TOM) serie, where you can match in succession the same color and it would trigger a bonus (additional time, fireball, lightning, etc.). The "story" isn't that grand, however. Neither is the number of upgrades - compared to TOM. There are in-game achievements (quite challenging, for some of them). Strangely, this game suffer the same issue as in TOM - albeit not as systematically - if you're too fast at matching, it won't be recognized as two matches in succession for the color bonus ... Last, there are 3 levels of difficulty. The most difficult one (don't remember the name) is REALLY VERY difficult with almost impossible odds to overcome. Expect a LOT of replay there. I'm playing on Win7 64bit without any problem.

The game claims there's a 'casual' mode, but with the timer there is No casual mode. When I hit the wall I was at 2.6 hrs (no refund), with still a looong way to go but I can't make myself go any faster, if you're not a speed demon, you're just wasting your money here. It's cool, and I'd be perfectly happy to put this on my favorites list and keep playing long into the future...At least I didn't pay full price.

Not every game has the nail-biting intensity of "Jay is Fighter," the raw, visceral quest line of "Xploquest" or the sheer gameplay of "OMG Look at this Knight!" Sometimes, a game is a dud. You may like it; you may not. I'm a big fan of the Jewel Quest series, the Puzzle Quest series and other Match-3 games, and I like many other Alawar games. They somehow even made card solitaire fun with fire, explosions, hammers and what-not. I guess they tried doing that here with a basic Match-3 game; they even gave you a skill tree. . . but the results are a confused busy-work mess. I may grow to like this game, but I currently am indifferent to it.
