After 4 years of playing this game, I was quite disappointed with everything that I am seeing now. It is not a player friendly game and works against the player with just frustrating game mechanics.
Monsters can simply walk into your base at any time. You think having airlock sealed doors would help against letting jellyfish in? Wrong. They can simply open and slip in whenever they want regardless of how you protect yourself. NPCs can also do this! My favorite interaction was an NPC walking into my base with every negative and hostile trait and then they started drinking all my beer and eating all my food.
Resources are terribly scarce. I hope you like suffering without ore and good luck finding it! Every location is filled with monsters who are lethal to your colonist (who at this point all have a viral infection for the simple reason of being alive). Colonists are also simply stupid and try to damage themselves to waste your resources as effectively as possible.
Overall, it is a frustrating experience which I expected to get better over time and updates and it seems to have not improved in the slightest.
Also performance is terrible. The game tries to crash every autosave.

Its a fun game and Im happy to have watched its progress for a little while, It itches my need for a colony builder and it has a LOT of elements i hav'nt seen in other games, The dev seems good at communicating the state of the game as it progresses and im very excited to see it in its fully developed state, i would 100% give this game a shot!
