Onirism is a good game, but the levels/areas are a mixed bag. The first few levels do a good job at capturing the fantastical element, which is not easy to pull off. I'd like to split the levels into two common types; small & huge. The smaller levels are compact, use verticality and hide many secrets to find. These complex levels are the games strongpoint. And then there are the huge levels, meant to be traversed by vehicles. If you now picture yourself on a motorbike driving down a winding trail, using ramps to jump over ravines and speeding through canyons; you are mistaken. Its mostly plain terrain with POIs & armies loosely sprinkled into the mix. The vehicles themselves a functional, but the handling & physics seems a bit off. There are also small „hidden“ levels that feature small challenges and at least one huge level that would normally belong in a battlefield-like Multiplayer game. The level themes switch periodically between "Magic", "Modern Times" and "Sci-fi". There are a lot of homages to other media, like resident evil or solid snake.
Compiled nagging section:
Many later levels are lacking compared to the first few, but we're talking about indie-early-access here; they are probably not finished yet. I hope the vehicle sections get a lot of love to make them more interesting. The Bosses are not too hard, but some attacks could use additional telegraphy. Also airborne enemy types have a tendency to go on a journey or hug the outside wall during arena fights, potentially soft locking the player.
All in all:
its a solid game. If they iron out the bugs and manage to elevate all levels to the quality of the first few, it's gonna be a great game. I'm looking forward to its future.

relay cool but when I was playing it was crashing A LOT! I see that there is a new update so I am exited to get further in the game and hopefully without any performance issues. what I did play was amazing. loved the art style, the guns, and the writing was relay good as well. I hope to edit this review with more positives when I get around to playing this one again!
