An absolute love letter to retro action platformers on the PS2 and Gamecube.

one of the best games I've bought recently, enjoyable gameplay and impressive design quality by today's early access standards

I found out about this game, Onirism. Everything is broken because the game is incompatible with computers that have high CPU performance, leading to many bugs. The system in Onirism is completely broken, causing lag. I feel this game is not great. It's almost unplayable and lacks content. It’s a poorly designed game. The Onirism game's storage is too large, similar to Breath of the Wild on Nintendo. I understand why this game won’t be converted to PS5, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch – due to the glitches and numerous bugs that can’t be fixed. That explains a lot. Despite that, the game looks fun. The character looks similar to the one from the "Hat Girl" game on Nintendo Switch. It wasn’t all bad. I played the game for an hour, but I couldn’t endure the lag and poor graphics. It's not my computer's fault – it’s the game’s fault.

It's a little rough, feels like a game still in development - which it is, so fair! The designs are adorable and unique, and the gameplay is fun. Combat and exploration feel like many beloved PS2 titles but on a modern engine. The dialogue has that charm and wit of the same that even surviving IPs from the PS2 era (looking squarely at Ratchet and Clank) scarcely deliver these days. The platforming could use some refinement, some of the animations could use some re-touches, and the whole experience could use a polish pass, but... again, it's still in development. As an early access title, it's adorable and fun! If a super polished, super refined, super clean experience is important to you, Wishlist this and come back to the reviews after it's released. But if you're looking for something fun to play right now, and you haven't gotten to scratch that Action/Adventure Platformer itch for a long while, this is sure to deliver!
