I like this original version better than the remakes.

Microsoft removed this so that you'd have to buy the newer Version of the same Game.

Always and old school favorite, good and faithful. :)

Crashes on start up and can't even end task as it messes up resolution and takes over the screen.

While the core concept of the game is still essentially the same as previous entries in the series (conquer your foes), this one introduced light card-collecting and deck building. Not bad graphically to look at either. I enjoyed the change of scenery, and only transitioned from this game once the newer edition came out.

I've been playing the ages of the empires since the 90s. My favorite thing to do is go back to the game when I want to conquer the world and scavenge all resources and build the biggest cities with the largest population.

ENG/CZ review/recenze ENG: I have over 100 hours of this game outside of Steam. Some grew up on the second part, but I still have the third in my heart. Although I like to play multiplayer, I have to admit that singleplayer is fun for many hours. Whether it's the campaign, which I think has a good story overall, or the skirmish, where you gradually level up and get better cards for your deck. Nowadays, it's definitely worth buying the definitive edition, which provides more options. But it would be a shame to forget the version that preceded the definitive version, so a big big up to the developers for this masterpiece. Pros: Graphics multiplayer functionality variety of units quite a good story (in the campaign) Cons: irrelevant game considering the creation of the definitive edition few players in multiplayer optimization (experiences FPS drop with a larger number of units, specifically on a 1050 graphics card) CZ: Na této hře mám mimo steam přes 100 hodin. Nekteří vyrůstali na druhém dílu, mně v srdci zůstal třetí. Ačkoliv si člověk rád zahraje multiplayer, musím uznat, že singleplayer je na spoustu hodin zábavy. Ať už kampaň, která si myslím že má v celku dobrý příběh, tak skirmish, kde si postupným levelováním získáváte lepší karty do balíčku. V dnešní době už se určitě vyplatí koupit definitivní edice, která poskytne více možností. Byla by ale škoda zapomenout na verzi, které defitivní verzi předcházela a proto velký big up developerům za tento masterpiece. Plusy: Grafika funkčnost multiplayeru rozmanitost jednotek celkem dobrý příběh (v kampani) Negativa: nerelevantní hra vzhledem k vytvoření definitivní edice málo hráčů v multiplayeru optimalizace (zažívá FPS drop při větším počtu jednotek konkrétně na grafické kartě 1050)
