It's a nice homage to Prince of Persia and Another World. The problem is the world and lore could be developed more or less, cocentrating on gameplay. By now, we have some glimpses on what is going on there but without depth that is a downside because it leaves mixed impression.

If you're like me and think the OG Prince of Persia kinda suck, that Another World is best consumed through a walkthrough and that Flashback was fun until the first timed mission, you might consider LUNARK.
The game template really is Flashback with a bit of PoP and AW mixed in. For instance you've got a few saber warriors and also a gorilla like enemy, except here you've got a gun like in Flashback so it's immediately better.
The pixel art is really an in between a 8bit and 16bit system. It's detailed and colorful enough to highlight all the importent details without confusion. The soundtrack is solid, not the best out there but every single track is fitting there isn't any bad one IMHO so it's all good in my book. The Flashback style cutscene are a treat, kudo on that.
There are however some very annoyances, mainly due to trying to copy that old console gameplay with temporary savepoints and with only one save at the start of the level.
So you wanna replay a specific level? Sucks to be you. You need to stop the game at the end of a level? Tough luck, now you need to start all over again.
The fact that you've got a stealth mission with those kind of mechanics really hammers the point of how bad of a design decision that it. That's definetly a negative.
The game is overall rather short unless you want to be a completionist, and the story is as generic and cliché as it gets. There is no big reveal and the ending makes very little sense (why bringing the moon on Earth? The planet must be a mess without it). It feels more like an awkward late minute addition rather than a cleaver and well crafted sotry, which is fine. This game is more about the journey than the destination.
In summary I'd say it's a game absolutely worth it on sale. Otherwise it's really a matter of how much you can spend in a little flawed gem.

I AM HAVING FUN. But it's my opinion. And I'm afraid, that this game is for very specyfic audience. For people that felt in love in games like Another World or Flashback. Movement is very stiff, not intuitive, hard. For the most time, I'm fighting against movement, not against environment. But I feel that this is this game strong side. Very good recreation of feeling from very old game. Game definitely for me, but not for everyone. Check out demo first :)
