Little Witch Nobeta is cozy Souls-like magic - short, sweet, and packed with charm. While it’s not the most punishing entry in the genre, its lighter challenge is part of the appeal. With solid mechanics, thoughtfully designed powers, and clever puzzles, it’s more than just a cute aesthetic. The story, characters, and world have real heart and soul, with just enough dark lore to keep you intrigued. I’ve replayed it multiple times and it still hits that same warm spot - fun, relaxing, and surprisingly deep. It’s a game I never seem to tire of, and one I keep coming back to just for the joy of being in its world.

I really like this game. In my opinion, the aesthetics are charming, the story is creative, and the combat mechanics are fun. In my case, it was pretty hard on advanced difficulty. I died a lot, and being sent back to the checkpoints is pretty annoying, but I still had a lot of fun. It's very well made, and it might just be my favorite indie game.

It's cute souls like game and Nobeta also funny when she trip from stamina exhaustion, the combat is satisfying if your hand fast enough to change and combine your own magic attack pattern, but it's getting repetitive since you only have staff and 4 magic slot, but still a good games for indies

I am not exactly very proud to own this game, but that being said, Little Witch Nobeta is nothing short of amazing. Entertaining, good story, cool characters, it's pretty cute and wholesome too (Right up until the end). I came into it expecting something mid, then found peak, then found it to be something I don't want to talk about. All and all, worth the money, I had fun and regret nothing.

This game is pretty fun for an indie game.
Baby souls like? Not necessarily easy but souls mechanics and gameplay are simplified.
Some of the enemy design, like the dark ghosts largely in the intro, is ‘eh.’ But soon the quality of enemy design ramps to such a higher quality it’s almost jarring.
Music is fine. Audio effects not bad maybe a tiny bit repetitive.
Gameplay is good after getting used to the games psychics.
The main character and DLC outfits are cutesy and tame. The overall theme of the game is cutesy and tame. However SimonCreative’s social media account however has insane amount of fan service and trinkets for purchase. If that’s what you’re looking for you might wanna pass on the game and go straight for the fan service material.

This really could have been a great game, the atmosphere is nice, bosses are cool and you can feel a mystery vibe from the enviroment that wants you to know whats happenings, the magic system is a good idea also but...
the map-layout it self is wonky, theres not enough enemy variation and the game gets stale fast, most of the time you die is because the game pulled a trick on your rater than your own mistake, the controls are not the best not to mention the HORRIBLE mechanic of wobbling while aiming, which is okay'ish for mouse gaming but sucks for controller
i dont feel anything from the progression system, mobs and bosses gives too low of souls to level up and this game is slow to grind souls because of low enemy count and mana cost, i stopped just after the 4th boss because i felt i already had seen everything this game have to offer, even with 2 boss fights left, which are the strong points of the game, i just didnt want to keep grinding, walking from point A to point B with little to no one exploration, being sniped from miles away, with little options to heal or restore mana etc, feels more like a chore than an adventure at this point

This game is unfun.
The dodges have too few invulnerability frames, especially when attack ques aren't easy to time (so lining up the dodge time with the attack time is too hard).
The terrain geometry is alright, but the walls all look the same so it's quite difficult to learn the map by landmarks, which results in getting lost at places you've already been twice.
The enemies feel quite samey.
The difference in difficulty between common enemies and bosses is huge, but the reward (soul essence) is not, so you'll spend more souls buying consumables and upgrades for the battle than the boss drops.
Not worth the full price (unlike games like Factorio, FTL, and Teardown which are worth their full price).
The story is very basic, and the dialogue is dull.
I tried the easy mode to breeze through the battles, but I felt like I was just skipping every enemy at no risk to me by just killing it. It wasn't any more fun, especially not the navigation.
The ranged attacks can crit less than 2x damage by hitting weakpoints but it's not fun to aim at them for many enemies, you just kinda point and hold down click.
I think the tradeoff between buying consumables and upgrading character traits is kinda fair.
The 4 elements you can fight with, it feels like ice and arcane are the same, just ice has better dps and uses more mana and has better aim. The variety between them feels shallow.
The 3d art of the main character Nobeta and of enemies looks pretty good, and the animations look good too. However, they feel quite out of place in the world, the world quality and lore quality does not match the quality of the character art.
Checkpoint spacing to save the game is fairly spaced.
There are no wayfinding signs at all, and unlike Teardown you are unable to make your own wayfinding signs after solving the maze.
The map design doesn't really synergize with ability unlock locations. The ability to double-jump doesn't make the platforming puzzles more fun. The unique attacks don't give you any mobility boost so this game doesn't make almost any fun out of movement.
Graphics performance is good on my 2022 PC.
The "items" are completely useless, which makes the game feel bad.
Verdict: if you like the art, buy only on sale, do not buy when not on sale.
