Good fun but if you have any experience in the rest of the franchise or tower-defence, then it's probably not that challenging

This game is just good. Good mechanics, traps are fun, and the levels get very chaotic. Game definitely isn't for everyone, but if you like strategy and shooting orcs, this is a great title. 8/10

Orcs Must Die! is a tower defense game wherein you are also a mobile tower. It feels stupid easy at first, but as you progress through the levels, the game spikes up in both difficulty and fun. The game drip feeds you new traps and abilities with every level, allowing you to alter your strategy bit by bit as you figure out the best way to not have to do anything yourself. Overall, it's quite an enjoyable game. I recommend getting it while it's on a sale/in a bundle.
Pros:

Difficulty
Level Design
Humorous & Lighthearted

Cons:

Age
"Orcs Must Die!" is a fantastic tower/wave defense game that still holds up today, and I often found myself questioning why I never completed it back when it first came out. The difficulty curve and level design are impressive, offering numerous ways to tackle each map based on your chosen difficulty and personal style. The humorous and lighthearted setting adds to the enjoyment, providing a chuckle here and there. A minor critique is that the game does show its age. Like many older titles, the controls can feel a bit clunky at times. Disabling options like V-Sync can greatly enhance performance and smoothness, though it can introduce issues, such as bugged movement animations for enemies and coins or potions glitching through the floor if there's acid or lava underneath. Overall though, I had a fantastic time playing and truly enjoyed nearly every level. I wholeheartedly recommend "Orcs Must Die!" even 14 years after its release. It's a great game and I'm excited to dive into entries 2 and 3 of this series in the future!
