A lot of the trailer videos and screenshots GIFs in the description are completely different to how the game is played and a little misleading. I'd highly recommend watching a YouTube video or two of someone playing through the campaign before purchasing. The game also has a few bugs when re-loading a mission, to the point I'd play with ironman mode in mind - though very little long-term campaign consequences. The game however is really unique, challenging, and scratches some autistic aircraft carrier itch. UI takes a little bit of time to get used to but if you've played a similar game like Carrier Deck, then this will be a walk in the park.

It's a lot of fun and a great concept. But I think nobody playtested it. Because the campaign is riddled with frustratinghly terrible design choices that simply do not make any sense: On a certain mission, there's this neat decoy feature that you can send to lure enemy fleets. Nowere it's said you can only use it once though. On the same mission, Once allied fleets deploy, you can use them to boost your attack power. Can you use it against the enemy fleets? No! You can only use them to boost the incredibly easy attack that takes one or two fighters to take out already. Oh, and it's surrounded by civilian buildings that will be destroyed if your attack power is too great. Once you unlock the best Carrier, there's a room that can boost your orders by 50%. All the orders I use, however, are used instantly and can be used immediatelly once they expire. The boost increases your COOLDOWN. There is one mission where you are scripted to be badly damaged. On the hard and hardest difficulties, the fire from that can spread so quickly that you can almost instantly be sunk and lose the mission. You need a good roll of the dice to get out of that. There's an order that gives you an extra Damage Control team and boosts them by 25%. It can only be used between 0:00 and 5:00. The strike in this mission happens around 16:00 and at 1:00, if you can manage the damage till then, the game fast forwards to next morning. also on the regular campaign, enemies pretty much never attack you past 21:00, so that boost DC order is nearly completelly useless. 6/10. It would be so much better if someone would fix these idioitic design choices. Cannot not recommend because it's actually quite fun. Savescumming recommended and may be even necessary to even finish certain missions.

The game is pretty good for a heavy discount at under 2 Euro. It has been left unfinished by the devs. There are a few very annoying major bugs like the map not updating properly (forcing you to reload to update the map before you plan major attacks) or not showing off duty times of your crew (they will just take a break from flak section in the cafeteria while you are under attack, this would be impossible in real combat). That being said, the campaign is well designed and playable, giving you some insight in carrier operations of WW II and the gameplay is good fun. I rate this 7/10 if you like naval battles.

This game's balance system and missions are dogshit. There isn't a difficulty curve, more a difficulty cliff. I won't even bother doing a proper organised review as this game does not deserve it. I once lost a mission that I was on the verge of winning, because a SINGLE japanese light carrier reached a transport fleet with a BATTLECRUISER, and the carrier somehow won in ship to ship combat. The game is a multitasking nightmare where even the first campaign mission is harder than the tutorials. Save your money and don't buy this fucking game. Shoulda advertised it as a rage game.
