So... I was very excited when I found this game. Not only because it's exactly the kind of game I was looking for, but also because the price was so reasonable.
I just finished my first play-through and I did really enjoy it although I do have some comments & concerns about gameplay.
I saw before purchasing that a lot of people insisted this game needed some kind of tutorial & that has been fixed, I found the tutorial to be super helpful. I do agree with another commenter though that a guided-victory tutorial (rather than a show & tell tutorial) would be much more beneficial.
I did have to lose the game twice before I realized how to properly strategize with the available faith. After I figured out exactly what I was doing, it was much more enjoyable.
It would be GREAT if the abilities tab was bigger or if you could just select abilities from the drawer, rather than having to drag them into the main panel.
I would also love it if it was possible to continue playing after winning the game. Yes, all objectives have been met by the time you win, but I would still love to be able to completely conquer the map even if there is no added benefit to doing so.
I'd also love to see some tiered advancement. For example "Win as [someone], unlock [something], Start with [country], unlock [something], etc.". Just something to motivate further playing since once you've run through all the Gods, you're just playing the same game over again. Just a note, not a huge deal.
All in all, this is a fantastic game & I'm excited I found it. It was a little difficult getting in because, like I said, the tutorial was a good guide but not super helpful in actual gameplay, but once you figure it out it's a great way to kill some time.

At the moment i will say wait for this to be updated more, the tutorial is not very helpful, and you can easily get lost with how to proceed, or what to do. This game has potential, needs some updates to explain everything more to a new player.

Thise game is a lot like plague Inc.
Exept your religion doesn´t spread on its own, but by godpower actions (purchasable like the disease traits)
So you end up looking for countries that have traits that your powers can change - which is more in your controll and more visible to you than in plague inc. Howerever it FEELS like you would have less controll than in Plague inc because you have only a limited amount of belief to purchase preachers, powers and usage of powers - I havent managed to reach even half in any country in the few runs I´ve done before running out of belief.
TLDR - intresting plague inc brother, unfortunatly not fun.

Hi,
I added this game to my library since version 0.4.
Concept is nice, I like the idea of being a god who wants to rule the humankind.
Developers want to make it a good game, they are listening and we can see improvements for each new version released.
Neverless, I cannot recommand the game in his actual form (version 1.10).
Maybe I am dumb but I do not understand how I should play.
I understand the mecanism thanks to the tutorial who was added in a previous version .
Advice to creators, maybe by having kind of simplest scenario where we are guided to the victory.
Like a small campaign where we have to convert one or two contries.
Please explain us how to play because the idea is good and it could be a pleasant game.
Regards,

So the game is dull, slow paced, and infused with modern politics.
I had thought about getting this for my daughter because she loves Greek Mythology, but after playing it for a little time, this isn't something I'm comfortable sharing.
On its surface, it's a resource management game, but really you spend most of your time waiting for events to happen, and the result of your decisions will end up being completely random. As of writing I have 42 minutes in the game... maybe it got better at some point, but I will probably never find out.

Very fun game with an interesting concept, reminds me of Plague Inc.
Still has room for improvement, but when in contact with the developer my feedback is always heard and I see the changes very quickly.

I bought this game as I'm a great fan of the God games. I have to say that at first I wasn't able to fully recommend the title. However what convinced me is the latest update. With the 4 scale slider for the various stats and some further balancing I decided to try to game once more and the experience was a much better one. I think that the frequency of random events has also improved, which is important in the game where not a lot happens without your actions.
If the game will continue to develop in this direction I think this might just become s very satisfying God Game, so as for the Early Access, I recommend Anthropomachy.

While the game has alot of potential, if you're expecting something like plague inc, or pandemic but with gods this isn't it. This is a long haul game where you have to very carefully play exactly how the developers envisioned and if you don't you'll find yourself sitting at the screen for hours on end waiting for random events to show up that use RNG to determine success,. Even if you have 100% traits/rates, you can still fail. While the game is a very interesting concept, it lacks surfacing basic UI elements that most games would use to communicate instant feedback to the player, and instead of a "steady resource management" game as the videos try to make you believe it is, its a "pool of resources" strategy game.
If you make any mistakes, (by which I mean if RNG hates you, or you don't select the options the developers preordained as the 'good option') you get stuck and likely have to start over. Sure you could wait for random events, but you cannot even tab out of the game to wait for events to spawn, you have to sit there in real time and die of boredom for quite a while, and even then it's not likely you'll get anything meaningful out of the events.
Additionally, the game for some unknown reason has lot of far-left bias politics in it, even making mentions of "alt-right", and modern politics that really shouldn't have too much place in a typical god game, to an absurd degree.
For a game where you're suppose to play as a god from ancient mythology you're expected to take the leftist approach to be a honorable god. It's silly. Most of these gods did some pretty screwed up stuff in mythology anyway.
Overall I cannot recommend the game, because while it clearly had alot of passion funneled into it, they didn't take into account some very basic game building concepts that you come to expect in the last decade of game design - and while I might suffer through a "B-level game" , I'm not going to do it while also having someones political bias thrown in my face every few minutes.

It's an interesting concept that could have been done well, but it's mostly just frustrating game play. Why do your powers not work this time? Because. That's why.
And there's a definite ideological bent that I found not so much uncomfortable as just a bit stupid. If I'm a Greek God/Goddess, why would I believe things like:
Parents who aren't financially prepared should be prevented from having kids
GMOs are bad in any form
Refugees are always good to accept anywhere and open borders are the best
Companies, corporations, and so on are evil, but free things from the government is very good
etc
These are modern day beliefs that do not fit into an Ancient Greek mindset. So many of my 'powers' seem to involve stuff like getting the government to offer free school/arts/child enrichment things, which is bizarre. It's a frustrating game that can't decide whether it's turn based or not, with no apparent growth of belief in you happening without you spending your points (just like real religions??) but with opportunities popping up every so often that usually are very railroaded choices.
In other words, no real immersion in ancient Greek mythology in any sense, the gameplay is frustrating and mostly makes little sense, and it's got its ideological blinders on to boot.
The art's really nice, though.
