I'll not waste words - this game in its current state is atrocious and I can't fathom how it's getting such a high review score.
This is the Big Rigs - Over the Road Racing of map games and how people can call it 'realistic' boggles the mind. Why would a game that's pitching to historical strategy nerds have most of the province names be gibberish? But not all. Some are real, but inexplicably out of place. Toledo is on the coast. Constantinople, IIRC, is somewhere in the north Balkans. Amida was apparently in northern Russia. Where Rome - ROME! - should be was called 'Hi Karate' or some such thing. Yes, it's essentially cosmetic but to me it's immersion-breaking - and inexplicable given how easy it would have been to get it right.
For the love of God don't buy this.

So many bugs, to a point where it no longer makes sense playing it.
Imagine entering a manual battle with no enemy, to be forced to quit the game.
Imagine using auto-resolve battle and then lose all of your units, even if you win.
And it doesn't happen after 50th battle, but all of it in your 1st battle!
Still wanna play it? :/ Go play Evil Bank Manager instead, at least it works!

This game is bitter-sweet. It has potential, it is trying to do things differently, but it's also a mess.
✔ Improvement over the risk Rock, Paper, Scissors game.
✔ Good visuals and story
✔ The card battle system and the upgrades make this a deep and fun experience.
- UI can use a lot of work
- Game doesn't feel polished
- it's clunky at times
- Loading a save freezes the game for a few seconds.
- You have world-wide knowledge of your power & economic ranking... how?
- Is that Times New Roman?!
✘ Lots of bugs
✘ No diplomacy
✘ Alliances between Computer factions are totally random, so far attacking my neighbours was safe since they gained allies who could never reach me.
✘ No peace terms. Once you start a fight it's total war.
✘ You will laugh or cry at the names & locations of cities.
✘ Not optimised for modern machines.
✘ Windows cursor. Or is that another bug?
✘ Game is not in Early Access, red flag.
"[...]strategy lovers will appreciate! War, politics, and unique system of card tactical combat, and many features."
There are no politics in the game.
Hope devs can improve it, it has a lot of potential.

Sure, devs know how to keep the player waiting) I've started playing and I liked it much, but bugs are killing)
I even wanted to put a dislike, but guys seem to care for the product - bugs are fixed, so I can relax and enjoy the game)
For fans of simple and plain strategies I recommend LDoR

Don't buy this game; it's not even worth paying $1.00 for in it's current format. Screen resolution is not adjustable and once you start campaign mode you can't even make a tribe selection on the very first screen because the bottom sixth or so of the screen is not viewable. I use a wide screen monitor in native 2560 x 1080 and tried to force steam to change the resolution to lower with no impact. I don't give negative reviews in general but I felt the need to advise you of what you're not getting for your money; it's called a gaming experience.

A promising game, but so much bugs after only a couple of hours ! This game is clearly not finished and broken. I would really like to play this game, but at that point, it's more a pain than a game. Too bad.
Here are some. There are probably more:
- the biggest bug : manual battles! I had to Alt+F4 so many times because it seems to freeze if I move the mouse too fast over an unit while some are fighting (not sure about that). Or when I'm attacked and have defense buildings, the game freeze after the IA made his attack. Really painfull. This is one of the major bugs to my point of view.
- some generals skills can't be acquired, even if he has enough xp to spend. (bonus to recruits / rounds and movements on friendly territories.
- About the last one, it's useless (see somewhere below)
- When you reload a game, you can train again a uniit. OP. If you do it several times, buying a unit can even give you back some recruits... same for the iron. Yeahh they pay to fight for me and they offer me slaves (or their children maybe, or workmates they do not like...)
- The sound when you enter the market is ... well... a sound from the 90' cheap game. A 2 seconds one, repeated again and again. Soooo awfull !
- IA is doing almost nothing (maybe because I played in easy mode ?). You can attack at will the romans. They just send several armies to protect the territory, but almost never tries to take it back after they are defeated.
- Diplomaty ? A joke. "your sage and decided to make peace". Hey, I didin't ask anything ! What ? All my attacking armies went back to my capital ? Teleportation is sooo common, today ! A good point, no use to build road. Oh yes, that's right, you can't.
- Generals xp is broken. They never earn any xp from battles. Only from skills. 500 per turn at rank 1, 1000 per turn at rank 2, and .... 500 per turn at rank 3.
- Wood is way too much important: you need it to upgrade evertthing but armies. You even need it to upgrade wood. Woooooodddd !
- Selecting several generals at the same time is painfull. And if you do it too much, sieges are failing and you start over and over with "2 turns until attack". Solution : go out of the territory, save, reload, move your generals one at a time.
- The bottom right territory is a pain when you want to select your general. You have to zoom in to the max and get the chance to click on its emblem.
- Armies can move from one territory to another one far away in one turn ! Picts to Enterprise, ready to beam up !
- Many bonuses you get does not seem to be applied to units (or it is not shown). What the use ?
- The knowledges tree is a real joke ! Pretty sure it is useless, bonuses do not seem to apply to units.
- The more you conquer, the lesser you get fresh recruits. Trying to get every single territory, I had only 300 per turn at the end, so it was impossible to win without using some bug exploits (quit and reload, so you can lower the recruiit price to a negative value).
- The market is a joke. Why would I buy some luxury stuff ! The only purpose is to sell them to get money.
- Upgrading the lifespan of a general is worthless. All my generals were more than ready for retirement home : around 125 years old and still ready to fight against those romans. Bwaaaa Picts are magical creatures, everyone knows that !
- The cheapest "congratulation screen" I've seen for a long time : "you won. Continue or stop ?".
And probably more I forgot. This game should never have been released at this point. No beta testing ? No friends saying : "hey, that's no good !!!" ?. I'm dismayed this game got some good ratings, this is unbelievable. There is no fun to play this game. Even RISK is funnier !
At that point, DO NOT BUY this game until major update. A total waste of money. But I DO hope for an update, this game could be entertaining, I'm sure of it. But it need a serious reworking.

It's a really good idea of a game, but so poorly made. There are many bugs in the game that render it completely unplayable. I was excited to get the game but now am very disappointed.

As a strategy genre lover I'm pretty exited! Each time I'm purchasing indie strategy, I'm getting surprised with some new, fresh and unique features. The game has a lot of factions, there is a lot of things to upgrade and research. Huge amount of regions to capture. Graphics and sound are very enjoyable. The best thing - the gameplay isn't easy!

I've been watching the game for a long time and I was thinking if I should buy it or not. I was worried if the game is working stably. But I saw how often they make updates so decided to take a chance and I don't regret)
Pros:
- Many kinds of bonuses. You really have to sit with a choice of what bonus to pump
- The economy. The system is quite simple, but there are many available sources like the capital, the regions and luxury mining, which can be sold.
Cons:
- Battle. I was expecting for a more like card battle, but it's more arcade than I thought.
In general, I liked the game and await more updates!

Please do not buy this game in it's current state. Don't be lulled into a false sense of security by the (currently) high review score, this is a broken game. In one hour of play I encounter three game breaking bugs that needed a restart. I honestly have no idea how this game could have been released in it's current state. I like the premise, but as it stands, it is a waste of money.
