Had to refund unfortunately. Everytime when generating 3rd Season, the Program crashes. I tried multiple times, every time the same result. Also, the drivers pit, even when you told them not to. Very confusing. All in all it would be a nice game at the right price point, but the problems prevent me from recommending it at this stage. I might rebuy it later, when these bugs are ironed out.

Came back to the game there hoping it would be better. Still same issues. Crashes randomly(can't even finish 1 lap of a race), doesn't give an error code or anything. Shame, great concept. EDIT - Was crashing because of a mod I was using I think. I recommend the game, modding it is quite fun too

I do recommend this game for everyone who likes sports management games. However I do NOT say that this is a perfect game. Let me explain: OWM is a nice game with understandable core mechanics that lets you finish a season pretty fast - at least if you want to. You only need to care about improving your car for the current and the next season, you need to finish contracts with drivers, staff and sponsors...and if you want to you can manage the races itself (but there is an instant result option for everyone else). It is a definitely a fun experience to see your team develop through the years. But after a few season its feels like the game is becoming a bit too repetitive. I might need to go into detail: - There are no "events" in the game (like injuries, personal issues and stuff like that) or any other unexpected things. - Every year the tracks are exactly the same and in exactly the same order. - There won't be any rule changes or stuff like that. - Every season starts with negotiating with sponsors because every contract is only one season long. The negotiations are not very interesting. You just need to choose a potential sponsor and assign a certain amount of your commercial staff to the negotiations. The negotiations will then be finished automatically after a few weeks. Negotiations with drivers or staff work exactly the same way (but you can choose a contract that can be 1, 2 or 3 years so you do not have to repeat it over and over). - You can't move to another team. There are also the same teams every year. And exactly the same sponsors, the same engines and so on. - You can't really improve the infrastructure for your team. I mean you can pay money to raise the limit for max. stuff but thats everything. You just pay money. It would be better if you could choose between different benefits or stuff like that. And there are some other issues: After a few seasons drivers become too good. In my savegame there are 6 or 7 drivers with 20/20 for almost every ability. On the other hand there are only few talents generated by the game and you can't sign them if you want to become successful because the experienced drivers are just too good. There is no stuff like F2 or other series and you can't sign talents as test drivers. I think this is an area where the game really needs to improve. The game would benefit from features that make the in-game-world feel more lively. Give me news, give me events, inform me about other teams, let the rules and circuits evolve. Make the drivers feels more like real persons. And there are other little issues. For example: The home advantage is much too strong. I had an german driver and he was definitely on of the weakest drivers in the field but he won German GP every year because of +motivation. But in none of the other races he finished higher than 5th. ___ I definitely criticised a lot. But I still like the game. It is a fast manager that perhaps lacks a bit of complexity and soul. But it is perfect for a few hours of playtime.

It takes a little figuring out, but it's incredibly engrossing. If you're old enough (and geeky enough!) to remember the old Microprose Grand Prix Manager games, this is VERY similar in gameplay.

Having played the demo then Early Access I am pleased with the state of the game. The developers are quick to respond to any bug and suggestion reports and overall the gameplay is enjoyable.

Can't recommend this game. Just buy Motorsport Manager. Instead of working on this game the dev is allegedly working on a sequel. (Has been really quiet lately)

While I don't feel bad having paid for this game, I don't recommend others do. Its poorly explained, has a lot of bugs, and just needs a lot of work. Sadly it has a lot of potential as a cheap throwback to the Grand Prix Manager games or alternative to the current Motorsport Manager. But right now it would be one of the best flash games you've ever played, but unfortunately not quite up there as a full on indie game. I do hope it receives some love, a tutorial, maybe a few additions to really make it play well and balance nicely. It really does have potential underneath it all, and their underlying design is a good one.

I can't, unfortunately, recommend this game. The game has potential, but as Open Wheel Manager 2 is coming out next year, I'm not sure this version will see that potential redeemed. The game crashes for many people, and while the developer(s) seems to fix the bugs fairly quickly, I still have to mention it. I played the game for 4 hours, I started as Williams because I thought it would be a fun challenge. However, in the third season, I finished 3rd in the constructors already. And now I am in a point where I have won the constructors and drivers world championships for 3 years in a row. 2 years finishing only 1st and 2nd in races. Ferrari engines are the best, but Ferrari has decided to use Mercedes engines. But I have to admit, it was amusing when it happened. The facilities are the best possible, just like the staff and no new teams challenge the top 3 (top 3 being us, Ferrari and Mercedes.) Rules don't change, nothing does. Considering this was my first playthrough, and I was still figuring out the features of the game, I can't say the game is much of a challenge (and the game doesn't have difficulty options either.) I recommend sticking to Motorsport Manager and waiting for the Open Wheel Manager 2. And if you are still interested, download the demo and see for yourself.

hi, played the demo and start now with the EA Version. I enjoy already a lot the style of the sim and the possibilities. You're doing a great job. I hope for lots of development updates and content, content, content, ... Please tell us a roadmap about your planned updates - and a detailed manual is urgenty needed, I'd say. Thumbs up, pls dont let your supporters down. Thanks.

The game is still being developed but it is already entertaining. Using Motorsport Manager to make a direct comparison: What OWM does better: - Engaged developer who is dedicated to improving core product as opposed to shelling out DLC and shitty mobile apps. - Open communication with community. It's very easy to get in contact and very quick responses. - Mod support is being better prioritized and supported (tracks will be moddable). What Motorsport Manager does better: - Graphics and racing simulation model are superior - RIght now there is more data available to player to make decisions (practice data, race data, track sector data) - Multiple championships and types of cars (right now OWM just has the main series) I am done with Motorsport Manager since they abandoned it to focus on making trash phone apps. I will be putting my support and modding energy behind OWM and I think it will eventually surpass MM in most areas.
