I adore this game. It has a similar colour palate and sensibility of the Ultimate Play The Game games from the Spectrum 48K days. This is the perfect son of Lunar Jetman and Jetset Willy.
It is challenging in places but that is what makes half the fun. Always imaginative and fun. I do love the idea of the floating fish as cannon fodder.
I really hope we get a sequel. This is a game I will definitely keep on coming back to.

This was such a delight to play. Great music, fun exploration, upgrades, weapons, secrets, humor, creativity.
Perfect level of challenge without making it frustrating.
I was sad to finish it!

Great little action exploration game!
Fun levels, nice weapons, challenging but not very hard, and a jetpack! Can you ask for more?
Definitely try this one, there isn't really anything "new" here, but it's solid entertainment for 6-8 hours.

This game is a nostalgic treat, smoothly rendering 2D action/adventure in a way that embodies what I see as the ideal of the retro genre... a real pleasure, two thumbs up...

I'm shocked that someone made a spiritual sequel to Solar Jetman but here we are! There's parts of it that I find frustrating like how much of a bullet sponge some enemies can be and there's some grinding but overall I don't mind and I'm having fun playing this.

An underrated metroidvania game. Pretty fun and engaging and a good level of challenge. Shooting and movement also feels satisfying.
The minor cons are some may find it a bit grindy at times, and a few small bugs but nothing game breaking and doesn't take away from the enjoyment. I have mixed feeling about the bosses - sometimes they feel repeated but there is one that I thought was cool as it was a fun nod to another well known IP.

I am really enjoying this game overall. It's difficult to make a good jetpack game, and thinking back I can only recall a couple that I took the time to finish (Dark Void and Star Wars Bounty Hunter, both of which were third person action adventure games, so quite different than this one). Anyway, the devs hit a home run with this one. Since the jetpack is one of the primary points of focus in the game, I'm glad to report that it's very well balanced and continues to improve throughout the game with level ups as well as (mostly) hidden power ups. The weapons are all of the ranged variety, which makes sense in this game, and most are fun to use. Even though some are better than others, the devs did a good job of utilizing elemental weaknesses so that you end up wanting to upgrade at least one of each type to take on the various bosses.
Two great design decisions that really stand out are the lack of fall damage and unlimited ammo. If either of these were done differently, I feel like the game wouldn't be nearly as good as it is. Reg. the fall damage issue in particular, there is so much verticality that when you run out of jetpack fuel, your little guy can fall quite a distance before reaching solid ground.
The difficulty is just right in my opinion, with a couple of minor spikes occurring in optional areas only. The game is sort of a cross between a metroid and straight up action platformer. There is definitely a fair amount of platforming, with heavy emphasis on using the jetpack, which is again very well done. There are also a lot of secret areas, so it pays to check out all the nooks and crannies!
The game runs perfectly on my rig and the pixel art looks great. Big points for humor and adding an interesting/unique story to go along with the action.
Definitely a great buy at full price and an absolute must buy at the current 6 bucks!
Cheers,
H

This game's difficulty doesn't really come from deliberately clever challenges - there's one hit kills, overly narrow platforming, and that almost put me off at the beginning of the game. I'm glad it didn't, though. The game remains hard throughout, but it gets much better designed as time goes on. The mechanics are really solid as a metroidvania, but expect to do a fair amount of backtracking later on if you want to 100%. Very difficult to find most secrets.
