I played this game just 5 hours and I really liked.

I bought the New Reality Studio pack several months ago, when it was on sale on Bundle Stars. Games from the bundle have been very hit and miss for me, so I always go into one of their games with mixed feelings. However, I was very surprised (positively so) when I played Atonement: Scourge of Time. It's a pretty typical JRPG, with two interacting stories you can play in any order. It's clearly a low-budged title, as is evident from the subpar graphics and the short story (took me about 11 hours for a full playthrough), but it does deliver on both the gameplay and the story. When it comes to gameplay, it's neither too easy nor too hard. All your characters are distinct and have their own abilities and there are barely any of them that are useless. You'll also need those abilities to win the tougher fights, so there's some (minor) tactical thinking involved. Also, even bosses can be susceptible to certain status effects, so even those abilities have their use. Storywise, there's an interesting world behind the game. The two stories do interact and you'll have to play both of them to understand everything. Unfortunately, a lot of character development is cut short thanks to the length of the story, but there's still good writing behind it. The game also has achievements (none of them difficult to obtain, but some are missable) and trading cards. Overall, I'd recommend this game to anyone who likes classic JRPGs and doesn't mind a short game and low graphics.
