I am sad to downvote Pendula Swing. I enjoyed this game untill my progress was lost due to the questionable gamedesign decisions leading to an inevitable save file corruption. For some reasons a conventional save-load section is simplified to a single option which is ether Continue or Star a New Game. In my case it eventually meant that my savefile was corrupted when Continue game was no longer an option for me. In my opinion, this is something that shouldn't happen in the modern games in full access. A simple autosave function would provide a helpful backup but this is not present in Pendula Swing. To do the game justice I must mention that the save file corruption happened due to the power outage of the laptop on my end. However since this game would run on most weak machines I can assume that many people are likely to play it on laptops and thus there is a fair chance for anyone to forget to plug the power and inevitably lose the hours invested in the walkthrough. Again, this is something that could have been improved by the devs in the beta stage of the game but now this can happen to the people who purchase the game for the full price. Pendula Swing is a large-span roleplay game which makes its save system negligence even worse. Having said that, I appreciate that the developers themselves were immediately accessible within the support section of the community and they took their time to address my problem at once. Unfortunatelly they had to admit that my save file was beyond restoration. I would absolutely love to recommend Pendula Swing once this game breaking aspect gets fixed which is something the devs promised to do.
