Sky Racket gives a new look to a genre as explored as the shoot 'em up. I found the combination with the mechanics of destroying blocks very interesting, something that reminds me a lot of the classic Blocked. I don't remember seeing this in the genre (I'm not one of the biggest experts or consumers of shoot 'em ups) but the combination was quite successful. The game's charisma is another noteworthy element, and it peaks with the bosses, who are very well thought out, balanced and not copies of each other. Special mention goes to the second to last boss who takes the game's idea of incorporating tennis elements to the maximum (and pays homage to the eternal Pong). Sky Racket is very entertaining and pleases with its unique elements, whether you're used to the genre or not, it's an option that's well worth playing.
