This game has a big flaw due to the distracting backgrounds, but still is a lot of fun. Really peculiar game with imaginative stages and bosses and great soundtrack. An important thing to notice is that it has persistent gameplay, so it's not like a traditional shmup. Do not pick this if you suffer from seizures

You may be wondering wtf is this game? How I stepped here in first place? God exists? What’s love? Why Gandalf couldn’t ride the eagles and just fly in to Mordor? Well, I can’t answer most of these questions, but if you allow me, I can give a try with the first one. But a disclaimer, since it is a “quick” review, and know that not everybody will want to read it, you can go directly in to the conclusion at the end of the review and call it a day (sorry for the bad English). The game starts with a cut scene and them you play the first stage (inspired in Space Invaders). The mechanic is simple and intuitive, as you finish a stage, you are offered three mysterious symbols, you pick one to play in to the new stage and repeat the process until you reach to the last stage. As you play, you get experience points, where you can level your character. By leveling it, you can open new weapons and win extra continues, so, the more you play it, the easier it gets. Simple no? But the design of the stages combined with the amazing music (serious, the music here is really good) is what make it shines. I mean, better than describing them in general, I will just name a few things that grabbed my attention: -The first Boss, Fractal Something, change form each time you play against him. - There is a stage called "Nostalgia", where it starts with real Black and White Movies. -A calavera boss where you need precision and cold blood rather than just quick reflexes to take him down. -A psychedelic stage with rainbow apples and illuminati pyramids as enemies. -A pink stage with a sex theme and Bossa Nova soundtrack, where the minions are flying boobs (yes you heard it right, flying boobs) and the boss is a giant Greek statue similar to one of these Vaporwave clips. -And one of my favorites, a stage with perfect synesthesia between a Jazz soundtrack and enemies and barriers who seems to dance together with the music. Well, about the controls they are precise and work well, no complain about that. But the game is hard and demands a lot of quick reflexes and good understanding of the weapons you are using. If you are not a Bullet Hell enthusiast, expect to try many times until you can advance and eventually finish the game. It’s a hard game, but not an impossible one as it rewards dedication and stiffness. My only big complain is with the Arcade system. It took me time to notice that I'm supposed to start from the first stage and go all away up to advance, rather than just starting my climb from where I stopped. This requirement feels like an unnecessary grind, discourage you to try the side stages and makes dying at bosses even more punishing. I's not like it ruined my experience, but is something I didn't get why, why make arcade the main format? In conclusion, this game is away out you are used to see, but this is what make it shines. It remember me games like Furi and Hotline Miami, where they take great advantage of synergistic use of color, scenario and music to allow you to better experience the game as a whole. Despite the difficulty, the grind, and for some, the weirdness, this is effectively an amazing game, ones of this crude indie rubies who pops out from time to time. Don’t let the simplicity of the sponsored video fool you, jump in to your navy and experience the trance, you will not regret. TLDR: It is a shump, yes, but not just it, actually, it hard defines it at all, it is a psy experience built on top of a shump.
