Wylde Flowers is an incredible game and it's something I've been looking for in games for a long time. I'm a bit of a hard-to-please gamer when it comes to games. I can enjoy them, but getting hooked and completely giving myself over is a very different thing. Over the last few years, I've played several games that weren't necessarily in the Wylde Flowers genre, but that came close: farm games, relaxing games, fantasy games. None of them gave me something as complete and detailed as Wylde Flowers. Starting with the story, here I felt a huge connection and immersion, extremely charismatic characters, incredible stories, good dynamics and a good start. I admit that I didn't know what to feel being restricted to being the main character Tara, without being able to customize an original character of my own, but at every moment, the developers proved to me that this was a detail that wouldn't bother me at all while playing. Tara is incredible, beautiful and her relationship with both her grandmother Hazel and the residents of Fairhaven evolves in a magnificent and smooth way. Getting to know each resident, interacting with them, and giving them their favorite foods (although they are a bit difficult to get) made me feel very connected to the game. Perhaps the art style and direction were what touched my heart and my fantasy side. Fairhaven having a secret witchy side is an incredible touch, which I wish more games had. Tara's journey, learning potions and spells is extremely fun. Making potions to multiply my resources, running faster, freezing time, flying on a broomstick, turning into a cat! All of this is something I've always wanted to be able to do in a farm game and Wylde Flowers managed to bring together everything I like. (Oh, and being able to pet the animals also helps my positive review.) I do have some reservations, but I'll make the most pertinent ones explicit here, otherwise I could spend hours talking about the good and bad points of the game. One of the points I find most pertinent is the fact that the seasonal festivals should have some exclusive decoration or clothing items. (Like themed clothing for each event and scarecrows for the farm) The events are also a bit underwhelming, usually we talk to the villagers, receive some items and return to the story cutscene. Being able to have distinct events and cutscenes, which would only occur in certain seasons, would bring a lot more detail to the game. I also think that, at least at the beginning of the game that I'm playing (middle of the fall season of the first year) the materials are scarcer or drop less frequently. Some potions that could help with the amount you receive (like fabric and leather) have no effect. It's a bit frustrating for someone who would like to keep making clothes and other items without much profit, just for decoration, and come across these obstacles. (Not to mention that you need to sell clothes to get more clothes. I mean, this method is fine, but if it were easier to recover materials and be able to make clothes faster, it would be better.) Some small details, like a sky with clouds, or some objects in the city being interactable, like the main clock, the statue of Lina's ancestors, the graves in the cemetery having the names of family members who died in Fairhaven and are connected to the characters we know... All these small details would help a lot to make the game more complete. Finally, one last thing is the lack of customization. I wish I could decorate or change the furniture in the house, chicken coop and barn. I could be able to sit on the benches or have more small animations when interacting with the kitchen, for example. The residents could also have specific clothes for each season, giving a bigger window for the players to feel immersed in the game, seeing the characters adapt to the environment. (Maybe even cold weather clothes for animals and pets). Despite everything, the game seems to remain relevant in terms of attention and updates, since a few months ago it received an update with new things. Which is cool because the game has a LOT of potential and I would definitely buy a DLC if necessary. I know that the developers and creators are busy with the release of the Wylde Flowers prequel, Wylde Society, but I have faith that Wylde Flowers will not be abandoned by the developers, I see a lot of love everywhere. ---
Wylde Flowers Review: Main Story and Post-First Year
Main Story and General Impressions First, I want to congratulate everyone involved in creating Wylde Flowers. I just finished the main story, and I’m still completely in love with the game. The narrative captivated me from beginning to end, maintaining its depth and charm throughout. This is particularly impressive, as I rarely feel so eager to continue exploring after finishing the first year in similar games. The end of the first-year story is both satisfying and open-ended, leaving room for further exploration and unanswered questions. The way the game world and its characters remain alive and significant, even beyond the main arc, is something I deeply appreciate.
Reflections on Characters and Story Development
Although Otto and Vanessa serve as the story’s "antagonists," they are still an important part of Fairhaven. Their departure leaves a bittersweet feeling. While it’s understandable that the townspeople want them gone, I hope they return in future updates. Vanessa, for instance, could reconnect with the community through an unexpected pregnancy, offering a redemption arc that reintegrates her into the town’s dynamics. Bruno also deserves mention. His contemplation about leaving Fairhaven after his family’s departure adds an emotional layer to his character. He’s an essential figure, especially for fishing, and I believe his role could be expanded. It would be interesting if Bruno’s shop offered a greater variety of fish, with an inventory that changed by season or day, including rare species for recipes and encouraging more interactions with him. The Coven’s story continues to impress, especially as the group grows in size and influence. The revelation that Francis is a witch was a positive surprise. However, Tara’s progress within the Coven feels somewhat stagnant. Despite no longer being a novice, this isn’t reflected in the game. It would be rewarding to see Tara gain a new title or even specialize in a magical discipline, enhancing her relevance and development. Looking to the future, the possibility of younger characters like Juliet, Sebastián, and Lina’s twins joining the Coven when they come of age is exciting. Their choices could lead to fascinating stories, whether embracing their magical heritage, traveling the world, or balancing both paths.

Suggestions for Updates and Improvements
Seasonal and Event-Based Changes - Character Outfits: Adding unique outfits for each season or special events (weddings, funerals, festivals, etc.) would enhance the game’s immersion. For example, Tara and her partner could have distinct outfits for celebrations like anniversaries or marriage. - Seasonal Exclusive Items: Including seasonal or event-specific items like clothes, accessories, and decorations would bring more variety. Players could exchange symbolic gifts, such as a wolf necklace for Westley, a shell pendant for Kai, or a magical artifact for wizard characters. Fishing and Item Availability - Expand Bruno’s shop to include all types of fish, with availability varying by season or day. - Allow Zephyr’s robots to fish in different locations. This would diversify gameplay and make rare fish more accessible. - Improve the in-game fishing book to include detailed instructions on how to catch each fish and their preferred locations. Spawn Rates and Collection Efficiency - Make item spawn rates more effici

Posso dizer que o jogo é bem viciante, quanto mais você faz coisas no jogo mais que jogar. No começo pode ser lenta a evolução, mas depois o jogo pega impulso com o desbloqueio de mais itens para pegar e fazer. A história é cativante.
