Review from 11th of June of 2021, 8 hours:
Good points:
- Overall level design is nice.
- Dash is a good mecanic
- Story is funny.
- There are two graphical options, one to make the game 1.5 bit and one to make the game look like as if it was made in the ZX Spectrum.
- Game is pretty.
Bad Points:
- Weird difficulty curve, specifically on 3-6, 4-1 and world 8.
- Level select screen is only avaliable after beating the game.
- The time taken to go from one run to another is too big.
- The game does not have Steam achievements.
- I feel like on some levels the dash is barely necessary, which made me almost completely forget about it until I actually got to the part of the level in which it is needed.
Easy 8.5/10.

Old review from 9th of June of 2021, 5.2 hours:
[strike] Unless you have a controller, "Quickly, Quackley!" is currently in a state in which I cannot recommend.
Wall sliding does not work at all making the later levels too hard, to the point which makes them almost unbeatable. Furthermore, in 5 hours I lost my save file twice. The first one being when I accidentally opened the game, so I just closed it on the "Logo screen", causing the game to just erase my achievements, settings and game save file. The other one being after I accidentaly clicked "New game" instead of "Continue". There was not a warning similar to "Are you sure you want to erase your game save file?", so I just lost everything.
Good points:
- Overall level design is nice, although the level 3-6 specifically is too hard. ( up to 7-3. Cannot confirm after that, because right now 7-3 without a controller is almost unbeatable, if not unbeatable )
- Dash is a good mecanic
- Story is funny.
- There are two graphical options, one to make the game 1.5 bit and one to make the game look like as if it was made in the ZX Spectrum.
- Game is pretty.
Conclusion:
If you have a controller, I recommend the game as long as you try to be careful to not lose save files. I can understand a game being harder without a controller, however making the game pretty much unbeatable is, in my opinion, not okay. Since I'm almost sure the developer will fix these issues, i'll update this review.
( In case I don't update this review, buying the game after the 16th of June 2021 is probably safe ) [/strike]
