I suggest as first thing to do after starting the game to read in the Stats screen the "Lore" of this Pantheon: The Twelve. I can't give you their names without bite my tongue and asking myself If I got them right but they made a good bunch of strange fellows to know in this Epic story that follow a simple and classic formula: A mortal is called by one of the twelve Gods of this world as his "Chosen" to perform in a list of trials (twelve exactly) and if this champion win he or she will get a chance to become a God themself. These trials (well written by the way) take many elements from the classic mythology of the Greeks (Heracles particurarly) but aside what you may think the dress code here is not necessarily the Toga, in fact the setting given to the player from the start (A dragon menacing your village) give a unique and quite different set: from medieval Bards to Pirate ship Captains to a Tech girl on a hovercraft and infinite arsenal of gadgets (You can see her looking at the Purple girl in the cover of game on steam) here I just mentioned some of the mortals you will meet (I was little suprised but personally I liked the novelty ;-) as you can tell from what I mentioned with you (son or a daughter of a simple farmer) there is other 11 individuals (mortals and half-gods) each chosen by the other gods and each want to perform at his\her best to impress the pantheon and win the fabulous prize. The question is: Do a common peasant really deserve to be a God ? Reminded me of two other titles of the Choice of Games library: The Versus series and Champion of the Gods but The Game itself have is own appeal (The Gods are each unique and interesting and there is a good chemistry here between the "Chosen" characters, can easily see why it win third place on CoG contest, well deserved)
