A game made by nerds for nerds only. I mean it, guys, this game is officially the Paradise of Nerds. Technically, Epic Loon is a physics-based platformer with a fun, dynamic and addictive gameplay, but this is not rather the point. The point is all the background. The menus, the cinematics, the levels, the quotes, everything, EVERYTHING is a heartbreaking tribute to the world of nerds. True nerds, I mean, with all respect to millennials. If you grew up in the nineties or in the eighties, then this is the game for you. Every single level of this crazy game is a perfectly curated tribute to one of four classic movies which made the history of horror and sci-fi cinema, namely, Nosferatu, Jurassic Park, Godzilla, and Alien. The whole game is a parody of course, but if you, like me, simply LOVE the aforementioned masterpieces, you can't help but feel moved by such a huge amount of tributes and references that only a true, grown-up nerd of the eighties or the nineties can fully understand. Forgive me if I'm repeating myself in this review, but I think I finally found the game of my dreams. No kidding. If you love classic, gold-standard sci-fi and horror cinema, then look no further. Enjoy this trip, and prepare to laugh a lot. And of course, prepare to weep a lot. For nostalgia. I miss the good old times, my friends... I really miss them... sniff...
Cheers guys!
PS: also, the metal soundtrack is AWESOME!!! What a blast!!!
