Unfortunately, I can't recommend this. Overall the game did not meet my expectations by any means... the story is boring and uninspiring. Some music is quite literally stolen from Silent Hill 2 (I think it's "Day of Night") and we all know how picky KONAMI is. The combat is awful, the monster design is bad and there are tons of glitches. Like: reload the pistol, while you reload equip the shotgun. Now you've got yourself the ultimate slaying weapon. Price is good but not good enough to justify the overall quality of the game, I have seen better products at less. 5/10

This is a lovely indie tribute to one of the greatest games ever made. As you play, you can clearly sense that the devs did what they could with what they had to create a short horror experience that could convey all the vibes of the famous masterpiece from which they took inspiration. And I think they succeeded. Here you can find all the hallmarks of Silent Hill, but at a much smaller scale of course. The devs managed to put together the Unity engine, a few purchased assets, some old-fashioned graphics filters, and of course a lot of fantasy and creativity, in order to assemble a short but very fun and entertaining horror experience reminiscent of the old but gold classics. This is the third game I play from these devs. The first, Black Butterfly, was not very good. The second, Indiction, was MUCH better, and showed a stronger focus on psychological horror, albeit it was not particularly memorable. This game, Red Valley, is a smaller project that does one single thing, but does it very well in my opinion. I had a very good time, I'll play it again for sure, so I definitely recommend it to all old nostalgic players, especially at this price, which is very honest and appropriate. Cheers guys!
